About Vantive Technology 

Vantive Technology (aka “Vantive”) is a stealth incubation within the Red Cell Partners’ ecosystem. As a pre-seed start-up, we are looking for highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team at the foundational level.  

Vantive provides users with a new vantage from which to understand their industrial capacity, founded on rigorous quantitative analysis. Our AI/ML technology enables decision-makers to integrate and assess demand signals across the global industrial base to optimize for chosen objectives and support robust capacity and capability planning. 

Founding Full Stack Software Engineer 

As a Founding Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing the founding codebase for our product’s backend, frontend, and everything in between. As a lean team, you will be a key contributor to the first iteration of Vantive’s technology for our initial customers. Understanding of supply chain analytics and industrial base planning technologies is helpful but not required.  

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions and develop/shape the founding code base. 
  • Collaborate with the team architecting, coding, and optimizingour backend services, cloud infrastructure, platform integrations, frontend product experiences, and platform Admin management suite.  
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and services to enable seamless integration with various applications and third-party platforms. 
  • Ensure the security and scalability of backend systems, implementing best practices for data protection and access control. 
  • Build mobile-responsive consumer experiences, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across devices.  
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards. 
  • Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.   

Required Experience and Skills 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion in full stack roles. 
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, Next.js, TypeScript, Flowbite, or Tailwind.  
  • Expertise in back-end programming languages like Node.js, Python, Java, Go, etc. and their relevant technologies/frameworks. 
  • Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with database design and optimization.  
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability; able to drive projects forward independently, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and proactively tackle challenges to improve processes. 
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong focus on teamwork and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and to apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team. 
  • Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data.   

Bonus Points 

  • Previous experience in an early-stage startup. 
  • Previous experience or knowledge of complex supply chain systems. 
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable platform infrastructure that adheres to SOC2 compliance requirements. Ability or potential to adhere to additional security requirements such as GCC-high, CMMC, NIST 800-171, etc.  

General Requirements 

  • Eligible to secure a U.S. Secret clearance or higher. 
  • Able and willing to commute 2 days/week to our Northern Virginia offices for in-person work. 
  • Ability to travel for conferences and/or to other Red Cell locations for in-person meetings.  
  • Travel will be no more than 25% of your total time.

Salary Range: $160,000-$190,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
