Sales Manager, Mid-Market (App Dev)

We are looking for a talented leader to continue building our App Dev team in New York. Our Mid-Market App Dev team partners with Mobile App Developers globally, consulting clients on how to successfully grow their businesses by leveraging the best of Reddit’s platform capabilities. This team also partners with our XFN product and tech teams to represent their clients’ interests, influencing the future of Reddit ads. You’ll build and lead a team of Client Partners and Account Managers to drive acquisition and same-store growth of partnerships within this segment. This is a unique opportunity to lead a global team within a new segment that is uniquely intertwined with the future of our ad product.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Recruiting, training, and leading a team of top-of-industry Acquisition Client Partners, Same Store Growth Client Partners, and Account Managers
  • Building and expanding your organization in smart and profitable ways 
  • Drive your team to exceed established revenue targets
  • Advise sales and product management regarding market opportunities, sales positioning, use of resources, and strategic planning
  • Partner with Marketing to drive new product launches, marketing communications, and further establish Reddit as a leader amongst challenger brands
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to develop financial and operating targets, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan
  • Building and managing senior-level relationships with key clients and agency partners

The right leader will have:

  • 5+ years of direct people management experience in media sales
  • 10+ years of experience in media sales
  • Experience leading sales teams at dynamic, industry-leading companies, while working across a variety of verticals and challenges
  • Track record of building high-performing teams through mentorship and talent development while attracting new talent
  • Deep functional knowledge of technical attribution nuances, and industry expertise
  • Experience with direct advertiser sales including negotiations and management of strategic partnerships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience upleveling sales partnerships by accessing C-level client stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Is a truly a scaled business leader, focused on entrepreneurial ways to delight customers at scale 
  • Passion for Reddit and its incredibly unique audience by understanding the culture, vernacular, and appropriate ways to make brands successful within communities

Pay Transparency:

This job posting may span more than one career level.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and will also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is:

$131,250 - $183,750 USD
