
Finance Operations Project Lead, Office of the CFO

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Finance Operations Project Lead to join our Finance organization, supporting the CFO while partnering across the business. This role blends the responsibilities of executive administrative support, aspects of a Chief of Staff role, strategic project management, and leadership responsibilities. It is ideal for an individual with a strong finance and/or accounting foundation, who seeks an “apprentice” role to both contribute and learn while having the ambition to rotate into broader business leadership roles in the future.
The Finance Operations Project Lead will act as a critical partner to the CFO and Finance leadership team, including the Chief Accounting Officer, VP of Finance, and Head of Investor Relations. This role will be executing day-to-day tasks, managing team initiatives, and ensuring the Finance team's priorities are executed seamlessly. The role will also require interfacing with leaders and teams across the entire organization to deliver on key projects that impact company-wide goals.
Responsibilities:
- Executive Administrative Support & Operations:
- Partner closely with the CFO and Finance VP’s to manage day-to-day priorities, including tactical and strategic calendar oversight, travel logistics, expense reports, preparation of materials for critical meetings, and internal communications
- Relationship building with key financial leaders. Become a trusted member of the leadership team, thought partner, and execution resource
- Learn and work effectively with key financial leaders. Become a trusted partner for financial leaders. Represent Finance team across the C-Suite and admins.
- Bring efficiency to administrative activities. Recommend and implement solutions to improve efficiency and culture of the team.
- Automate, execute, strong detail orientation to accuracy
- Assist Culture Club to Build a Winning, Team-Based Culture in Finance
- Work closely with our Culture Club and become a centerpiece for cultural activities for the team: offsites; team events, awards, etc.
- Strategic resource to assist with Financial Projects
- Utilize financial skills to contribute to ad hoc projects on a case-by-case basis. Serve as financial resource to assist with work bottlenecks.
- Research issues, write up findings, make recommendations
- Center Point for Key Events
- Coordinator and note taker for key events: Analyst Day; Director meetings; Finance Offsites.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting/audit, consulting, project management, or operations.
- Strong foundation in finance; undergraduate degree in financial subject or CPA.
- Process improvement
- Seen excellence or been excellent in some aspect of their life.
- Experience building or being a part of a winning culture
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and drive results.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with analysis, planning, reporting and/or accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset, capable of seeing the big picture while managing tactical execution.
- High EQ and ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:
$123,200 - $172,500 USD
