The role of the Business Marketing team is to connect Reddit’s global communities with businesses of all sizes. We’re passionate about helping brands, agencies, and advertisers understand the power of Reddit and how it drives meaningful business outcomes.

We’re looking for a Senior Lead, Business Marketing, ANZ, to spearhead Reddit’s marketing strategy and execution across Australia and New Zealand. This senior role will operate as an independent contributor, responsible for our customer and industry marketing in Australia. They will partner closely with sales leaders to build Reddit’s presence, deepen relationships with agencies, and accelerate advertiser adoption across the region.

Reporting into the Head of International Business Marketing based out of London, this role will be responsible for creating and executing a full-funnel marketing strategy that educates and inspires agencies and advertisers, drives commercial opportunities, and positions Reddit as a top-tier strategic partner with customers and industry alike.

This role is required to be based out of our Sydney, Australia office.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: In line with Reddit’s global marketing vision, develop and execute a country-level marketing strategy that positions Reddit as a top-tier partner for both agencies and advertisers. Build an integrated annual plan that drives awareness, adoption, and share of wallet across the ANZ market—shaping perceptions, influencing decision-makers, and unlocking sustainable revenue growth across enterprise customer segments.
  • Audience: Our ANZ team is agency aligned, so we’re looking for this person to have a solid understanding of the holding company landscape and the clients they represent and build peer-to-peer relationships with marketing leads across agencies that help increase our awareness externally across their teams.
  • Educate: In partnership with peers on the agency development and marketing teams, develop an education at scale (EAS) programme that drives awareness and consideration of Reddit for Business and greater share of wallet for media spend, such as: agency takeovers, vertical immersions, Reddit AF trainings and executive upfronts.
  • Events: Create a calendar of events that are key moments for agencies and leverage peer-to-peer and sales relationships to ensure Reddit is present across priority events. Own the strategy and activation of such events. EG: NextM, WPP Stream, Mindshare Huddle etc.
  • Industry: Design and deliver high-impact customer engagement experiences at key Australian and APAC industry events—such as SXSW Sydney, Cairns Crocodiles, and other regional marketing forums—to elevate Reddit’s profile, strengthen relationships with agencies and advertisers, and nurture long-term partnerships.
  • Decision Maker Engagement: In partnership with sales, develop and build a decision maker engagement (DME) programme designed for hold-cos that helps us deepen our relationships with senior decision-makers, outside of just social teams.
  • Global: Where applicable: be a part of larger core teams for global marketing moments and share ownership of localizing marketing big-rocks for local markets (EG: Cannes, CES). You will also be expected to own a share of cross-channel industry/O&O events across the international business marketing team.
  • Narrative & Playbooks: Lead the development, localisation, and consultation of Reddit’s core business narrative and vertical-specific playbooks for the Australian market, ensuring messaging resonates with local agencies and advertisers while aligning with global positioning.
  • Advocacy: As part of your annual strategy, develop a component that helps drive the voice of our customers in the market, helping create evangelized reddit advocates on our behalf. EG: joint speaking ops, video testimonials, co-authored thought leadership.
  • Impact: Work with the Head of International Business Marketing to identify and track your annual budget needs, spend and impact measurement for your markets.
  • Markets: This role is based in Sydney and covers both Australia and New Zealand. As part of Reddit’s International Business Marketing team (based in London) and the Global Business Marketing organisation (spanning the US), you’ll collaborate closely across time zones. The role requires flexibility in working patterns to effectively connect with global stakeholders and ensure regional initiatives are fully aligned with international priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive Marketing Leadership: 8+ years of senior B2B marketing experience within the tech, media, or advertising industries, with a proven ability to lead strategic marketing efforts at scale.
  • Deep Knowledge of ANZ Market: Strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand advertising landscape, including agencies, holding companies, and enterprise advertisers, with experience shaping strategies for local market dynamics.
  • Strategic and Commercial Impact: Demonstrated success in building and executing regional marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth, market penetration, and advertiser adoption.
  • Tech Platform Expertise: Proficiency in digital advertising and tech platform business models, with a track record of developing campaigns that resonate with both agencies and advertisers.
  • Adaptive Leadership: Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments; able to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution when needed.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers, foster cross-functional collaboration, and build long-term partnerships.
  • Compelling Communicator: Strong storytelling and narrative development capabilities, adept at crafting thought leadership and go-to-market messaging tailored to the ANZ region.
  • Global Connector: Comfortable working as part of a global team spanning multiple time zones, ensuring alignment while championing local market needs.
  • Fluent in English.
