Business Development Representative
The Opportunity
Being a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Redpanda is a launchpad into a career in enterprise technology sales. You’ll be on the front lines of our go-to-market team, helping identify, qualify, and connect Redpanda with the world’s leading organizations modernizing their data infrastructure.
We’ll invest heavily in your training, coaching, and development — from product enablement to hands-on mentorship. You’ll gain international experience, learn how to generate pipeline in high-growth markets, and build a foundation for career growth in sales, customer success, or marketing. At Redpanda, BDRs are not just cold callers — they’re the talent pipeline for our future Account Executives and Sales Leaders.
This is a remote-first role, with location preference in the UK or broader EMEA.
Day to Day
- Qualify and develop inbound and outbound leads, delivering high-quality opportunities to the sales team
- Execute multi-channel prospecting, including cold calls, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on campaigns to systematically improve pipeline generation
- Research accounts and segments to uncover trends, challenges, and opportunities for Redpanda
- Utilize CRM and sales tools to track activity, measure effectiveness, and optimize outreach
- Build and maintain an up-to-date understanding of Redpanda’s platform, industry trends, and customer value propositions
Skills
- Self-motivated and driven, with a team player mentality and eagerness to learn
- Previous experience in outbound prospecting or customer-facing roles (3–6 months minimum preferred)
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is a strong plus
- Strong process mindset — organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of leads effectively
- Comfortable making high-volume cold calls and engaging diverse stakeholders
- Curiosity and aptitude for technology — we’ll teach you about streaming data, but you should be eager to learn and understand technical concepts
- Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) and sales engagement platforms is a plus
