Who We Are:
At Redstone, we don’t just manage properties — we build communities by empowering people.
We operate 140+ properties and are on a mission to become a hiring, coaching, and development company that just happens to do property management. Our purpose is simple and bold:
To empower our people and elevate communities.
As we grow, our People & Culture team is evolving into a People Experience mindset — one that balances high performance with genuine care, clear expectations with trust, and results with humanity.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic, people-first HR Business Partner who thrives as a trusted advisor to leaders, not just a responder to issues.
This is not a traditional HR Generalist role. As an HRBP at Redstone, you will proactively partner with Operations and cross-functional leaders to strengthen leadership capability, drive performance, and create a consistent, high-quality People Experience across a large, distributed workforce.
You’ll coach leaders, anticipate challenges, use data to inform decisions, and help prevent people issues before they happen — all while modeling Redstone’s values and culture.
If you’re energized by influencing leaders, building scalable people systems, and helping teams do their best work in fast-moving environments, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
Be a Strategic People Partner
- Serve as a trusted advisor to assigned leaders, with a strong focus on Operations
- Lead monthly partnership conversations focused on talent, performance, engagement, and retention
- Help leaders translate business goals into people strategies that drive results
Coach Leaders & Drive Performance
- Coach leaders on performance management, feedback, accountability, and difficult conversations
- Support leaders in building high-performing, values-aligned teams
- Strengthen leadership capability through thoughtful guidance and real-time coaching
Champion Culture & People Experience
- Reinforce Redstone’s core values in daily leadership behaviors and decisions
- Support engagement and retention strategies that help people feel seen, heard, and valued
- Use employee feedback, engagement data, and exit insights to identify trends and opportunities
Partner on Employee Relations (Proactively)
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters with a focus on early intervention and consistency
- Partner closely with the HR Manager on complex or high-risk issues through a clear escalation path
Think in Systems, Not Just Solutions
- Use people data and insights to inform recommendations
- Identify root causes of recurring challenges and help design scalable solutions
- Collaborate closely with Recruiting and Learning & Development to ensure a connected employee lifecycle and People Experience
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an HRBP or strategic advisory role
- Strong experience partnering and earning trust with leaders regarding performance, talent, and employee relations
- Ability to coach leaders with confidence, empathy, and credibility
- Confident using data and insights to guide decisions
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
- A systems thinker who looks beyond individual issues to long-term solutions
- Strong communication chops — clear, thoughtful, confident, candid, and collaborative
- Hungry, driven, and results oriented -- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-state, distributed environment and always pushing to raise the bar and exceed goals
- Alignment with Redstone’s purpose and core values
- Passion for commitment and connection with people!
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, aPHR, or SPHR preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
What Success Looks Like
- Leaders see you as a thought partner, not just an HR resource
- People challenges are addressed early — before they escalate
- Leaders lead with clearer expectations, stronger accountability, and greater confidence
- Engagement and retention improve within your partner groups because team members feel heard, supported, and connected
- You help move the organization from reactive problem-solving to proactive people strategy
- You consistently bring fresh ideas that strengthen culture and elevate the team member experience
Why You’ll Love Working at Redstone
- Health, vision, and dental insurance
- 401(k) with up to 6% company match
- Flex PTO and 10 paid holidays
- Gym membership
- Discounted phone plan
- 3 paid service days per year
- Paid parental leave
- Professional development support
- Employee assistance program
