Logistics Coordinator
Redwood Materials is seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Logistics Coordinator at our South Carolina Campus (BMC2). This role will serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all logistics-related activities at BMC2 including coordination of all inbound and outbound related materials, warehouse inventory accuracy, and management/organization of the trailer yard. The ideal candidate must have strong initiative and be able to organize, prioritize, and execute varying tasks in a fast-paced environment with on-site personnel, as well as our global logistics team in Nevada.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Coordinate with our Global Logistics Team to execute international and domestic shipments and ensure/perform proper packaging and export compliance control.
- Communicate and coordinate shipment information to carriers, internal stakeholders, and external customers
- Ensure proper procedures for hazardous shipments, track shipments when needed and confirm shipments have been properly classified.
- Prepare pertinent shipping documents including international transportation and shipping of hazardous materials
- Collect and deliver interoffice mail, parcels, and supplies
- Track deliveries and shipments of material in inventory control (software or programs)
- Standardize processes, establish written SOPs, and seek ways to improve current operations
- Maintain on hand inventory levels for shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Will consider a candidate with experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels within an organization
- Experience using shipping software required by common shipping carriers (UPS, DHL, FedEx. Etc)
- Possess a strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Experience preparing international shipments and documentation a plus.
- Understanding of rules and regulations for shipping and handling of hazardous material
- Certification and expertise in International Air Transport Association (IATA)/Department of Transportation 49 CFR Dangerous Goods Transportation a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and platforms
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs., use proper PPE and comply to all safety policies and procedures
- Willing to travel between Redwood locations as needed.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
