Construction Project Management Intern
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Construction Management Intern to develop and execute projects with our Infrastructure Development Team at our new campus in Ridgeville, South Carolina. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist construction manager with site coordination meetings.
- Manage general contractor schedule updates, change order log, and estimates alongside construction manager.
- Attend design coordination meetings on behalf of the construction team and relay necessary information to construction partners.
- Complete a to-be-determined intern project to improve the schedule, quality, budget, or design efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an advanced degree in civil engineering, construction management, or another relevant field.
- Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Willingness to contribute at all levels of the organization.
- Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift, and carry objects over 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs carrying weight.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
Working Conditions:
- Environment, such as office or outdoors and inclement weather conditions.
- Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, fires, or extreme heat/cold.
- Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
- Required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
