Senior Supply Chain Program Manager, Energy Storage

San Francisco, California, United States

About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 by JB Straubel, co-founder and former CTO of Tesla, on a simple but radical idea: the critical minerals powering the energy transition already exist. They just need to come back. Today Redwood is the largest lithium-ion battery recycler in North America — recovering, refining, and redeploying critical minerals from end-of-life batteries back into the supply chain. On the energy side, Redwood has deployed the largest second-life battery project in the world, delivering power to AI data centers in months rather than years using proprietary energy architecture engineered entirely in-house. The company is profitable, the market it operates in is projected to grow 20 to 50 times over the next decade, and Redwood is the only company with the supply chain, the technology, and the operational scale to lead it.

  • Identify supply and schedule risks early, and devise and drive mitigation plans with commodity owners and suppliers
  • Coordinate supplier readiness for new product introduction builds and production ramp, including capacity, qualification, and delivery plans
  • Track supply chain program metrics (cost, lead time, delivery performance, inventory) across commodities and report results to leadership
  • Resolve cross-functional issues and escalations that affect program schedule, cost, or quality
  • Develop and improve program management tools, templates, and processes for supply chain programs

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of program management, supply chain, or sourcing experience (3+ years with a Master's degree), ideally in energy storage, battery, EV, or electronics manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of new product introduction, production ramp, and supply chain operations across electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical commodities
  • Experience building and managing integrated schedules, milestone trackers, and risk registers across multiple stakeholders and commodity teams
  • Ability to analyze supply chain data (cost, lead time, delivery, inventory) to identify trends and risks
