YOUR IMPACT
As an AI Developer — Senior you will be responsible for leading high-impact AI initiatives across SDLC innovation and product research, setting technical direction, designing and evaluating experiments, and delivering prototypes and insights that shape Redwood’s development practices and product strategy.

• Lead the design and execution of AI experiments across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, code review, documentation, and CI/CD processes
• Evaluate and recommend AI tooling and define scalable adoption patterns across development teams
• Establish frameworks to measure the impact of AI on developer productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity
• Identify inefficiencies in development processes and propose AI-driven solutions for pilot and scale
• Champion structured, disciplined AI experimentation and clear communication of findings
• Lead exploratory research into AI capabilities for Redwood’s enterprise automation platform, including agents, orchestration patterns, and AI-powered interfaces
• Own end-to-end development of complex prototypes, from feasibility assessment to working demonstrations
• Translate emerging AI trends into actionable opportunities aligned with Redwood’s products and strategy
• Collaborate with product management and engineering leadership to shape research direction and ensure outputs are production-ready
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship of junior team members

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years working with AI/ML systems or LLM-based applications
• Proven ability to lead complex, ambiguous technical initiatives and deliver clear, actionable outcomes
• Deep hands-on experience with modern AI development, including LLM APIs, prompt design, RAG architectures, agent frameworks, and evaluation methodologies
• Strong backend engineering skills across languages such as Python, Java, or similar, with the ability to adapt to new technologies as needed
• Experience integrating AI into software development workflows and measuring its impact on engineering outcomes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated influence on technical direction beyond immediate team scope through leadership, proposals, or architectural contributions

BONUS SKILLS

• Experience with enterprise automation, ERP systems, or workflow orchestration platforms 
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar frameworks for AI tool use 
• Background in developer experience, platform engineering, or SDLC tooling  
• Experience in research, applied science, or AI prototyping environments   

Pay Transparency: The typical base salary range for this position is 132,000 - 165,000 CAD annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and relevant qualifications.
