YOUR IMPACT

 

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer, Platform & Integrations to join our JSCAPE engineering team and drive the next generation of our Managed File Transfer (MFT) SaaS product. You will be instrumental in the design, development, and enhancement of our MFT platform, building high-quality, scalable, and secure software that powers enterprise data exchange for more than 1,000 customers worldwide.

As a Lead Software Engineer on the MFT SaaS team, you will:

  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Define the path forward for complex engineering problems, establish best practices, and mentor the team to excel, while driving the architecture, security, compliance, and observability of our Java/Spring Boot microservices.
  • Platform and Infrastructure Ownership: Drive the deep understanding, architecture, and evolution of our core platform and infrastructure, focusing on resilience, communication between components, and scalability.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate and drive cross-team collaboration with Product, QA, and other engineering groups to ensure end-to-end alignment and successful product delivery.
  • AI Integration: Research and apply AI/ML concepts and their usage to innovate and enhance the MFT product capabilities (e.g., intelligent routing, predictive maintenance, enhanced security).

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant focus on high-scale SaaS platforms.
  • Strong Java, Spring Boot, and REST API skills with a solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and architecture principles.
  • Cloud Platform Expertise (AWS Preferred): Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex solutions on a major cloud platform, with a deep understanding of cloud concepts including networking, security, and cost optimization.
  • AI Awareness: Proven familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their usage, with practical experience or a strong conceptual understanding of how to apply these techniques to solve engineering problems.
  • DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, and automated platform management.
  • EKS/Kubernetes: Mastery of container orchestration, specifically with EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), including managing inter-component communication and cluster operations.
  • Protocol Understanding: In-depth understanding of enterprise file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP, FTPS, AS2) and secure communication protocols.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering peers.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP.
