Description:  

You’re looking for your next opportunity as a Staff Product Manager to lead and scale project44’s Yard Management System capabilities within our Movement platform. You bring the passion, operational understanding, and product leadership needed to transform complex yard workflows into scalable SaaS solutions that drive measurable customer value. 

You are excited to own the full product lifecycle for yard-focused capabilities including gate management, dock scheduling, trailer visibility, yard moves, and detention management. You thrive working closely with Engineering to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions for operationally critical environments, while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure strong adoption and revenue impact. 

 

 What you’re most excited for:   

  • Define and articulate the product strategy for project44’s Yard Management System, aligned to broader supply chain orchestration goals 
  • Build and prioritize a roadmap that improves yard throughput, reduces dwell time, increases dock utilization, and drives measurable ROI for customers 
  • Translate complex yard operations into clear user stories and well-defined requirements for engineering teams 
  • Ensure your team deeply understands real world yard workflows including gate processes, dock assignment, hostler moves, and trailer management 
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to successfully launch and scale new yard capabilities 
  • Define and drive success through clear operational KPIs such as dwell reduction, yard turns, appointment adherence, and detention cost avoidance 
  • Assess the competitive YMS landscape and position project44 effectively against legacy and point solutions 
  • Represent project44 as a yard domain expert in customer engagements and executive conversations 

Requirements & Skills:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline that has propelled you to build tech chops in your career, from computer science to business.  
  • 10+ years of Product Management leadership, experience building enterprise SaaS  
  • Direct experience with Yard Management Systems, warehouse execution systems, transportation management systems, or related logistics technology 
  • Strong understanding of yard operations including gate management, dock scheduling, trailer visibility, and yard KPIs 
  • Experience building and driving a roadmap, based in customer needs, with a clear path to incremental delivery   
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations   
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers across a software business   
  • Passion and empathy for the product and for our users and strong belief in the mission of creating customer and user value.  
  • Ability to self-manage and act with autonomy.  
  • Detail oriented, but also strategic. You should be able to context switch from guiding on implementation details to giving a company presentation with ease and aplomb.  
  • This position may require travel to global project44, customers, and partner locations.  
  • Supply chain and/or logistics experience is a plus.  

In-office Commitment: This position requires a commitment to contribute to our collaborative culture by working in-office 5 days weekly.
