As the Revenue Accounting Senior Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in spearheading the revenue accounting function, driving our commitment to excellence. Your responsibilities encompass not only ensuring precise revenue recognition but also fostering seamless collaboration with various teams to optimize billing processes. Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating our accounting organization to best-in-class status, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Revenue Oversight:
- Lead the accounting efforts for diverse revenue streams, ensuring meticulous adherence to ASC 606 standards for accurate revenue recognition.
- Spearhead the design, implementation, and execution of scalable processes to optimize the efficiency of the financial close and control environment.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Reconcile and investigate outstanding accounts receivable balances, proactively addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
- Champion the reconciliation and dispute resolution of chargebacks across all accounts receivable, ensuring financial integrity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate seamlessly with Operations, Distribution Centers (DC), Wholesale, and other cross-functional teams to guarantee precision in customer invoicing and collections.
- Facilitate a smooth billing process through effective communication and cooperation with various stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Create and maintain monthly balance sheet account reconciliations related to revenue.
- Prepare journal entries, meticulously review and approve entries, and ensure timely completion of account reconciliations from direct reports.
- Contribute to monthly financial analysis and generate insightful ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and develop the operations of the Revenue Accounting team, taking full responsibility for day-to-day and month-end functions.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment, promoting continuous improvement and skill development.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience and Education:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in CPG/Retail/Ecommerce.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Demonstrate a strong command of large-scale ERP systems, with at least 2 years of experience; familiarity with Netsuite is advantageous.
- Showcase expertise in advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Exhibit a robust problem-solving aptitude, capable of identifying root causes and recommending effective solutions.
- Effectively analyze transactional details within an enterprise resource planning system and articulate key findings to management.
- Collaboration and Proactivity:
- Display the ability to build positive and collaborative relationships cross-functionally, making recommendations and implementing process improvements.
- Operate in an action-oriented and solution-driven manner, thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days/week at our Vernon HQ
