Job Name: Footwear - Product Development Intern, Footwear & Accessories

 

This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced designers and developers in creating innovative and market-ready footwear and accessories. The intern will gain valuable insights into the entire product development process, from concept to production.

This is a paid internship (40 hours/week) that will last about 12 weeks during the summer of 2025 (beginning of June - end of August). Full-time offers may be made based on individual performance and position availability. This role will be located at our headquarters in New York.

 

What you’ll do: (Responsibilities)

Prototype Development:

  • Support PD Associate Manager with sample tracking, proto meeting organization and participate in prototype reviews and fit sessions.
  • Photograph samples, assist in creating tech packs, specification sheets, and product documentation.
  • Update PLM system with detailed information related to style developments.
  • Maintain heel library organization for ease of use. 
  • Manage physical sample library for styles in process as well as fit approved.
  • Package and ship out samples as needed.

Sample Material Management:

  • Support PD Associate Manager with sample material tracking using organized charts.
  • Manage the physical material library during development through to approvals.
  • Package and ship out sample materials as needed.

As an intern, you’ll work as a part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business problems. 

 

What you’ll need: (Requirements)

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree-seeking program as a third or fourth-year student, with a major or concentration Accessories Product Development, Design or a related field.
  • Strong passion for footwear design, development, and innovation.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and emerging trends in the footwear industry.
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Location: New York City in office 3 days a week, 2 days remote.
