Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations within our facility. This role will focus on the upkeep of material handling equipment, including conveyors and Autostore automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards, and coordinating effectively with external contractors and service providers.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Perform minor and major repairs of all material handling equipment, including Autostore automation.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for the Autostore and conveyor systems. Tasks will include, but are not limited to  
    • Daily cleaning and removal of jammed Autostore robots.
    • Inspect and replace belts, rollers, and sensors of conveyor equipment.
    • Repair or replace damaged components of material handling equipment
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors/vendors responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building systems.
  • Complete and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly checklists and records related to building equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, including HAZMAT recordkeeping and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal requests and resolve facilities-related issues.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests efficiently and effectively.
  • Procure supplies and replacement parts; obtain estimates and order components as needed.
  • Propose and implement ideas to improve maintenance operations and enhance system reliability.
  • Operate material handling equipment and support lockout/tagout procedures when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and performance standards.

 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Autostore systems and conveyor systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with HAZMAT regulations, OSHA standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Flexibility to respond to after-hours or emergency situations.
