Position Overview:
Work Location/ Schedule: 3 days/week hybrid in office, Culver City
As a data-driven brand, analytics and customer insights are critical to setting Ref’s strategic direction for continued growth and impact. Reporting to the Senior Director of Customer Insights & Analytics, this person will be responsible for leading data-driven projects, advanced analytics, and generating insights to support new strategic initiatives across customer retention, the ecommerce experience, merchandising, marketing, and our retail stores.
The ideal candidate for this role is intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, loves translating data and insights into strategy, and is an excellent problem solver & communicator. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, gaining hands-on experience in developing insights that deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Analytics Ownership: Leverage data and analytics to generate actionable insights that support key operational and strategic functions across the business. This might include:
- Analytics projects to deep dive into identified issues or potential opportunities
- Designing & measuring A/B tests for marketing activations, promotional offers, and personalization efforts
- Acting as a subject matter expert in Ref’s customer, marketing, transactional, & product data to help other teams design & execute effective dashboards / reporting or ad hoc analyses that support their strategic priorities
- Customer Insights: Lead ad-hoc customer research projects, including our annual customer survey, to better understand who our customers are, their primary needs & pain points, Ref’s competitive positive, & key market/industry trends. Manage our “Voice of Customer” program to connect business partners with relevant feedback from customers to shape decisions and shape the strategic direction of the program.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Analytics Enablement: Work with stakeholders across the business to understand gaps in information or capabilities that are holding them back, define the right problem statement or key questions, and deliver insights or tools that will be readily adopted to drive action.
- Executive Support: Help develop and prepare executive-ready presentations to summarize customer or business trends & opportunities, insights from research & analytics, and recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on industry best practices and trends to bring fresh ideas to the team.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an analytics role in the e-commerce, fashion, or consumer goods industries
- Analytical & Data-Savvy: You have strong data analysis and quantitative skills, including setting a clear hypothesis, comfort working with complex data sets, and proficiently executing analytics and/or research to uncover insights and inform decision-making. Proficient in Excel / G-Sheets is a must, and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Looker), Google Analytics, and SQL are a plus.
- Strategic Instincts: You make connections across different sources of information and understand how your insights tie to business objectives and strategic opportunities. You focus on what’s most impactful vs what’s interesting.
- Excellent Communicator: Clear and compelling with both written and verbal communication. Proven track record of translating raw data into actionable insights, presenting and communicating across all levels of the organization, and ability to adjust your style based on the situation or audience.
- Adaptable & a Self Starter: You take initiative and solve challenges proactively—knowing when to push forward independently and when to seek input. You have the flexibility to adjust quickly, shift between topics & projects, & deliver outstanding work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, and continuously evolving environment.
- Collaborative: You are a kind and empathetic partner who works well cross-functionally and can collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive results
Compensation:
At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $90,000 – $135,000 + bonus 10% eligibility, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity.
This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.
