We are seeking a mission-driven, collaborative, and highly motivated individual to join RelationalAI as our Head of Legal, Product, and IP Counsel. This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale all legal initiatives for a growing enterprise SaaS company. You will be a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and teams across the organization, initially focusing on enabling enterprise sales and supporting field operations.

You will provide practical and strategic legal advice, negotiate high-value enterprise agreements, and help build scalable processes to support our rapid growth and expansion.
Responsibilities
- Drive all legal initiatives for the company, serving as a strategic partner to key stakeholders across the organization.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex enterprise SaaS agreements, including customer contracts, master service agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing deals.
- Develop scalable contracting processes and templates to enable an efficient and compliant sales cycle.
- Provide legal counsel on sales and field operations, including issues related to data security, privacy, compliance, and customer engagement.
- Oversee corporate governance, including board and subsidiary governance, and support strategic initiatives such as funding rounds, partnerships, and expansion efforts.
- Partner with HR on employment-related legal matters, including compliance with labor laws, workplace policies, and employee relations.
- Advise on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other industry-specific standards.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide legal guidance on product development, licensing, and intellectual property matters.
- Partner with marketing teams to review campaigns and materials for compliance with advertising and intellectual property laws.
- Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks while enabling the company to achieve its business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and ensure the efficient use of resources to address specialized legal needs.
About You (Qualifications)
- J.D. from a top-tier law school and membership in a U.S. state bar.
- 7+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on enterprise SaaS agreements, commercial transactions, and supporting sales and field operations.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, licensing structures, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex enterprise agreements with Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property law and experience advising on product development and licensing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on balancing risk mitigation and business enablement.
