About the Team: 

The Information Technology team at Relativity Space is responsible for all computing infrastructure (end-user, server, virtualization, and cloud), software and software services, videoconferencing, telecommunications services and equipment, networking, and information security. We work with and support the needs of all internal teams, providing critical infrastructure and services for all operations of the company. About the Role:

We are looking for an IT Services Lead to join our growing Service Desk team at our HQ in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will be working closely with Systems Administrators and Systems Engineers in IT Operations, alongside leading a team of IT Associates on the Service Desk. As a lead of the team, you will be an IT “jack-of-all-trades”, continuously enhancing your various IT and Service Desk competencies while also assisting junior level associates on complex issue resolution.   • Lead and grow a high-performing IT Services team focused on initiative, ownership, and delivering outstanding support to engineers and technical staff. 
  • Oversee daily operations by monitoring workloads, triaging tickets, and managing handoffs to ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution. 
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management to assess team capacity and adjust workflows to support scalability and performance. 
  • Mentor junior team members, offering technical guidance and encouraging knowledge sharing. 
  • Drive process improvements with an emphasis on IT asset lifecycle management and inventory accuracy. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving complex technical issues and elevating the overall user experience. 

About You:

  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time. 
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise. 
  • Expert level familiarity with both PC and other end point computing hardware and software 
  • Experience in managing Windows Active Directory and user access controls 
  • Administrative experience with Microsoft Office 365  
  • Writing and editing skills to aid in writing and updating procedural documents and documenting tickets 

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • 4+ years of experience in an IT Operations role 
  • 1+ years of direct or indirect leadership/mentorship of a Service Desk team. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Mac, Linux deployment and troubleshooting 
  • Familiarity with tools such as SCCM, Imaging, ServiceNow. Jira, EDR

Hiring Range:

$40.50 - $52.12 USD
