We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional with substantial corporate finance experience (3+ years preferred) who demonstrates both passion and drive to excel and advance in the field. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our company. Using your advanced data analysis skills, you will gather, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from various departments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and drive new and ongoing business initiatives, optimize financial reporting processes, develop comprehensive company-wide forecasts, and lead critical financial close activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Additionally, you will be a key contributor on strategic projects, including fundraising, acquisitions, and product development.

This role is based at our headquarters in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

  • Financial & Business Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of business drivers—including margins, churn, and expansion—to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Support the creation and maintenance of company-wide financial forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business.
  • KPI Development & Monitoring: Utilize advanced BI tools to develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling data-driven strategic decision-making.
  • Executive Insights & Recommendations: Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders to support high-impact decision-making.
  • Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects: Support high-priority projects, including fundraising efforts, acquisitions, and product innovation initiatives.
  • Reporting & Automation: Enhance financial reporting processes by leveraging automation to streamline workflows and improve efficiency for internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to evaluate and support new and ongoing business initiatives.
  • Process & Methodology Improvement: Continuously refine financial processes and forecasting methodologies to keep the business at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Financial Close & Accuracy: Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills (What You’ll Bring):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategic forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of software business models, particularly SaaS and subscription-based revenue. Experience with hardware-enabled software solutions is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • A proactive and self-driven work ethic combined with a passion for continuous learning and growth.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous or challenging situations and drive outcomes that align with business objectives.
  • Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • A strong team player who communicates effectively and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every project.
  • Familiarity with SQL is highly desirable.
  • Deep passion for corporate finance and a drive to continuously learn, adapt, and advance in the industry.
