
Contracts Attorney
The Opportunity:
As Contracts Attorney, you will be accountable for independently reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, informed consent forms, and supporting the broader Legal Operations function. You will be an integrated member of the team responsible for the execution of clinical studies, making key contributions that will translate Relay Tx’s innovative science into impactful medicines for patients.
Your Role:
- You will independently review, draft, and negotiate clinical trial agreements in support of Relay Tx’s clinical studies
- You will independently review and finalize informed consent forms in support of Relay Tx’s clinical studies
- You will additionally review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of contracts such as master service, consulting, sponsored research, material transfer, software license and other agreements, as well as related documentation such as amendments and statements of work
- You will manage issues across diverse areas of the company, taking the initiative to identify appropriate subject matter experts and coordinate overall review
- You will independently discern priorities, set clear expectations with both colleagues and external partners, and efficiently deliver results
- You will identify potential legal issues, research as needed, and propose solutions
- You will provide timely advice to colleagues (including, but not limited to, advising on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and legal risks) in a professional manner that integrates risk management with business objectives
- You will develop and maintain strong business relationships across the company and contribute to collaborative cross-functional and/or departmental projects
- You will prepare and populate agreements using standard templates
- You will update and maintain standard contract templates customary to Relay Tx’s day-to-day activities

- You have experience utilizing a contracts management system
- You have direct experience reviewing, drafting, redlining, and negotiating a variety of contracts, preferably within the life sciences industry
- You have direct experience reviewing informed consent forms
- Bachelor’s degree
- J.D. from an accredited law school encouraged but not required
