The Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Restaurant Operations & Technology Consultant. This role works directly with restaurant owners/operators, assisting them with core business challenges (from operations to marketing/growth), educating them on 3rd party restaurant technology solutions, and consulting on applicable solutions. This role requires a knowledge and passion for restaurants, affinity towards technology, and desire to proactively build relationships in the industry.

The successful candidate has direct experience working in the restaurant industry, and understands technology through that lens. This role will require curiosity and proactive customer/stakeholder engagement. Those who love building and maintaining relationships will have the most success.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with restaurant operators to answer questions about their business and/or technology, assisting to identify potential solutions for their business
  • Connect restaurant operators to vetted 3rd party vendor solutions, acting as advocate and broker to facilitate best solution at preferred pricing
  • Proactively build relationships with our parent company sales organization, positioning yourself as a trusted resource for them and their customers
  • Assist in new 3rd party partner vetting
  • Continuously learn about new restaurant technology and how it fits into a restaurant business
  • Support internal and external events and needs, including webinars, podcast guest spots, food shows, and more
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Content, and Growth partners to inform team strategies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the restaurant industry with relevant business consulting or restaurant technology vendor experience
  • Experience and knowledge in restaurant operations and growth, from owner or general manager perspective
  • Experience and knowledge in restaurant technology and support services
  • Proven experience in customer relationship building and management; ability to effectively communicate with business owners and leaders
  • Past sales role experience highly valued
  • Highly curious with a strong desire to learn
  • Positive attitude, coachable, detail-oriented with good multitasking, analytical, and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and applies a start-up mentality to how they approach their work
  • 4 year college degree in related field preferred or an equivalence of experience

Le rôle

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) consultant(e) en opérations et technologies pour restaurants, expérimenté(e) et bilingue (français et anglais), pour accompagner directement les propriétaires et exploitants de restaurants dans la résolution de leurs défis opérationnels, marketing et technologiques.

Vous aiderez les restaurateurs à découvrir des solutions technologiques adaptées, développerez des relations de confiance dans le secteur, et jouerez un rôle de conseiller(ère) stratégique. Ce rôle demande une passion réelle pour l’univers de la restauration, un intérêt marqué pour les technologies, et une grande capacité à créer et entretenir des relations professionnelles.

Responsabilités

  • Conseiller les restaurateurs sur leurs défis opérationnels  et technologiques ; identifier des solutions adaptées à leurs besoins.

  • Mettre en relation les clients avec des fournisseurs technologiques triés sur le volet, en agissant comme intermédiaire de confiance pour négocier les meilleures options au meilleur prix.

  • Bâtir des relations proactives avec notre équipes  de ventes interne (Gordon Food Service), et devenir une ressource fiable pour leurs clients.

  • Participer à l’évaluation de nouveaux partenaires technologiques.

  • Se tenir à jour sur les nouvelles technologies du secteur de la restauration.

  • Soutenir  des événements internes et externes tels que des webinaires, des salons alimentaires, des balados, etc.

  • Collaborer avec les équipes Produit, Contenu et Croissance pour enrichir la stratégie globale de l’organisation.

Exigences

  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie de la restauration, avec une expertise en gestion d’opérations ou en solutions technologiques pour restaurants.

  • Connaissances pratiques de la gestion d’un établissement (propriétaire ou directeur/trice général(e) idéalement).

  • Expérience concrète avec des solutions technologiques (POS, gestion d’inventaire, marketing, etc.).

  • Excellente capacité de communication et d’écoute avec des propriétaires d’entreprise.

  • Expérience en vente ou en développement des affaires (un atout important).

  • Grande curiosité et désir d’apprendre continuellement.

  • Attitude positive, esprit entrepreneurial, bonne organisation et rigueur.

  • À l’aise dans l’ambiguïté, capable de s’adapter à un environnement en évolution rapide.

  • Diplôme universitaire de 1er cycle dans un domaine pertinent (ou équivalence d’expérience).

Langues

  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais parlés et écrits est essentielle (le poste s’adresse à une clientèle à la fois francophone et anglophone, principalement au Québec et au Canada).
