The Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Restaurant Operations & Technology Consultant. This role works directly with restaurant owners/operators, assisting them with core business challenges (from operations to marketing/growth), educating them on 3rd party restaurant technology solutions, and consulting on applicable solutions. This role requires a knowledge and passion for restaurants, affinity towards technology, and desire to proactively build relationships in the industry.

The successful candidate has direct experience working in the restaurant industry, and understands technology through that lens. This role will require curiosity and proactive customer/stakeholder engagement. Those who love building and maintaining relationships will have the most success.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with restaurant operators to answer questions about their business and/or technology, assisting to identify potential solutions for their business
  • Connect restaurant operators to vetted 3rd party vendor solutions, acting as advocate and broker to facilitate best solution at preferred pricing
  • Proactively build relationships with our parent company sales organization, positioning yourself as a trusted resource for them and their customers
  • Assist in new 3rd party partner vetting
  • Continuously learn about new restaurant technology and how it fits into a restaurant business
  • Support internal and external events and needs, including webinars, podcast guest spots, food shows, and more
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Content, and Growth partners to inform team strategies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the restaurant industry with relevant business consulting or restaurant technology vendor experience
  • Experience and knowledge in restaurant operations and growth, from owner or general manager perspective
  • Experience and knowledge in restaurant technology and support services
  • Proven experience in customer relationship building and management; ability to effectively communicate with business owners and leaders
  • Past sales role experience highly valued
  • Highly curious with a strong desire to learn
  • Positive attitude, coachable, detail-oriented with good multitasking, analytical, and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and applies a start-up mentality to how they approach their work
  • 4 year college degree in related field preferred or an equivalence of experience
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish

Este rol trabaja directamente con propietarios y operadores de restaurantes, apoyándolos con los principales desafíos de su negocio (desde operaciones hasta marketing y crecimiento de negocio), educándolos sobre soluciones tecnológicas de terceros para restaurantes y asesorándolos sobre las soluciones más aplicables a sus necesidades. Este rol requiere conocimiento y pasión por los restaurantes, afinidad hacia la tecnología y el deseo de construir relaciones de manera proactiva en la industria.

El candidato ideal cuenta con experiencia directa trabajando en la industria restaurantera y comprende la tecnología desde esa perspectiva. Este rol exigirá curiosidad y un compromiso proactivo con clientes. Quienes disfrutan construir y mantener relaciones tendrán el mayor éxito.

Responsabilidades:

  • Asesorar a los operadores de restaurantes para responder preguntas sobre su negocio y/o tecnología, ayudando a identificar posibles soluciones para su empresa
  • Conectar a los operadores de restaurantes con soluciones de proveedores externos verificados (generalmente terceros), actuando como promotor e intermediario para facilitar la mejor solución al precio preferencial
  • Construir relaciones proactivamente con la organización de ventas de nuestra empresa matriz, posicionándose como un recurso de confianza para ellos y sus clientes
  • Apoyar en la evaluación de nuevos socios externos y sus soluciones de tecnología
  • Aprender continuamente sobre las nuevas tecnologías para restaurantes y cómo se integran en el negocio restaurantero
  • Apoyar eventos y necesidades internas y externas, incluyendo seminarios web, participaciones en podcasts, ferias gastronómicas y más
  • Colaborar con los equipos internos de Producto, Contenido y Crecimiento para contribuir a las estrategias del equipo

Requisitos:

  • 5+ años de experiencia en la industria restaurantera con experiencia relevante en consultoría de negocios o como proveedor de tecnología para restaurantes
  • Experiencia y conocimiento en operaciones y crecimiento de restaurantes, desde la perspectiva de propietario o gerente general
  • Experiencia y conocimiento en tecnología para restaurantes y servicios de soporte
  • Experiencia comprobada en la construcción y gestión de relaciones con clientes; capacidad para comunicarse eficazmente con propietarios y líderes empresariales
  • Experiencia previa en roles de ventas es muy valorada
  • Alta curiosidad y grandes deseos de aprender
  • Actitud positiva, receptividad a la retroalimentación, orientado al detalle con buenas habilidades de multitarea, análisis y organización
  • Comodidad con la ambigüedad y mentalidad emprendedora 
  • Se prefiere título universitario de 4 años en un campo relacionado o experiencia equivalente
  • Debe ser completamente bilingüe; en inglés y español
