Job Summary: 

The Sr. Manager, IT Business Systems and Enterprise Applications role is responsible for the day-to-day operations, sustainability, and management of Reltio’s SaaS-based backoffice technology stack. Reporting to the Sr. Director of IT Infrastructure, this role focuses on translating technology vision into economical and scalable operational services.

You will lead a team of application specialists to ensure our core systems—and the AI applications and agents interacting with them—are secure, efficient, and cost-effective. A primary focus will be the convergence of traditional SaaS management with modern AI orchestration, acting as a critical liaison between IT Operations and the AI Enterprise Engineering group to deploy business-centric AI solutions that bring measurable value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT Enterprise Applications group responsible for configuring and maintaining back-office applications, ensuring high availability and alignment with departmental needs.
  • Ensure the long-term sustainability of the tech stack by managing technical debt, system health, and versioning across all SaaS platforms.
  • Optimize workflows and data accessibility to ensure seamless integration within the company’s ecosystem.
  • Lead the Jira-based IT change management process to ensure stable and documented deployments.
  • Act as the IT liaison with the AI Engineering group and Architect, providing application-level infrastructure input to deploy AI business use cases as designed by the AI Engineering group.
  • Oversee the operational aspects of administration of enterprise applications and AI-enhanced tools, including Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
  • Promote AI literacy within the team, empowering staff to leverage AI as a strategic asset for automation.
  • Govern the inventory of back-office applications, tracking license utilization and spend to identify opportunities for toolset consolidation.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, including contract renewals, management, and license audits.
  • Develop IT dashboards and reports based on operational KPIs to provide visibility into application health and ROI.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Develop career growth plans for staff, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of emerging IT and AI trends.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of new applications and major updates, ensuring they are delivered on-time and within budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT processes and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Coordinate updates on IT projects and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Implement application frameworks that prioritize data integrity, privacy, and security/compliance.
  • Direct the department budget strategy and assist in managing the overall IT budget.
  • Conduct regular staff check-ins and performance reviews to maintain high performance and reliability.

Skills You Must Have

  • 7+ years of experience in an IT leadership role managing a global team in business applications or IT management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM deployments (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and knowledge of orchestration layers like Anthropic Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Strong understanding of application and data integrations with Okta.
  • Proven track record of managing global teams and developing talent in a remote environment.
  • Firm grasp of IT security principles and best practices for SaaS environments.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and using AI, automation, and other IT technologies to improve them.
  • Experience with and understanding core business workflows.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting to any level of the business and explaining complex technical concepts and how they relate to business outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with SaaS spend management and Application lifecycle management.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing both Okta and Google Workspace Enterprise Plus.
  • Hands-on experience administering at least three of the following: Atlassian Suite, Slack, ChatGPT Enterprise/API Development tools, Claude Enterprise, Monday.com or Bettercloud.
  • Familiarity with OKRs and SMART goals and how to create, manage, execute, and report on them for your team.
  • Ability to create IT dashboards and reports based on operational KPIs and application spend metrics.

 

Skills That Are Nice to Have

  • Experience managing Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and Zoom Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of automated systems like BetterCloud or Slack Workflows.
  • Proven experience managing technical teams focused on business systems automation, AI/ML, and enterprise software operations.
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI and agentic workflows.
  • Understanding of how to leverage semantic graphs, metadata, and ontologies to reduce AI hallucinations and enhance explainability.
  • Knowledge and experience with AI agentic platforms.
  • Ability to apply a Build/Buy/Blend philosophy to balance innovation speed with strategic differentiation.
  • Skilled at navigating a matrixed environment, working across the AI Transformation Team and functional leaders to remove execution blockers.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as ITIL, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge or experience with integration applications like Workato or Zapier
  • Data analytics and business intelligence expertise.
  • Enhanced cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP or Agile.
  • Experience creating and managing OKR and KPI programs.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

Overall Market Range

$132,000 - $272,000 USD
