Job Summary

Reltio is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead a team responsible for developing and operating core data movement and integration capabilities within the Reltio Data Cloud. In this role, you will drive execution, mentor engineering talent, collaborate closely with Product and Architecture teams, and ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions that power our customers' data ecosystems.
You will play a critical role in translating business and product goals into engineering outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on data movement, data processing, and integration capabilities.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers and technical leads, supporting career growth and technical excellence.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
Technical Delivery & Execution
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native services.
- Partner with Product Management and Architecture teams to define roadmaps and execute against strategic priorities.
- Ensure engineering best practices in software design, testing, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
Technical Strategy
- Contribute to the technical vision and architecture of data movement and integration services.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to platform scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Drive technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decision-making across teams.
Program & Stakeholder Management
- Manage engineering execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing priorities, resources, and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Customer Success, SRE, QE, and other Engineering teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, development velocity, quality, and team productivity.
- Establish and monitor key engineering metrics, SLAs, and operational KPIs.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and reliability initiatives.
Customer Focus
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Partner with customer-facing teams to address complex customer challenges and drive successful outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years leading engineering teams.
- Proven experience building and delivering large-scale distributed systems, data platforms, or SaaS products.
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures and modern software development practices.
- Solid understanding of data processing, data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming technologies, and large-scale data systems.
- Experience working with microservices architectures and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps principles.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive execution in a collaborative environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, or enterprise data management platforms.
- Experience with real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Kubernetes, and cloud-native data services.
- Experience working in high-growth SaaS organizations.
