Principal Product Manager - Data & AI Security

San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Relyance AI is redefining how organizations secure, govern, and trust AI systems and data in the era of intelligent, agentic software. As our Principal Product Manager – Data & AI Security, you’ll lead strategy and execution for Relyance AI’s next-generation security offerings — spanning AI Security Posture, AI Runtime Protection, and Dynamic Data Security for enterprise AI environments.

This role demands both strategic vision and deep technical understanding. You’ll help shape the product roadmap, translate customer and market insights into action, and partner closely with Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success teams to deliver scalable, trustworthy solutions that protect sensitive data across AI models, applications, and agent-driven workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Data & AI Security roadmap — shaping how enterprises protect sensitive data and AI systems across cloud, model, and runtime environments.
  • Deeply understand customer needs and workflows — how data moves through AI models, APIs, and agentic workflows — to identify risks and uncover opportunities for protection and visibility.
  • Translate strategy into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle — from concept and design through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement — balancing innovation with reliability and trust.
    Collaborate cross-functionally:
    • With Engineering, to design scalable and secure data and AI protection capabilities.
    • With GTM and Marketing, to position and launch differentiated offerings.
    • With Executives, to align roadmap priorities with company strategy.
    • With Customers, to validate real-world use cases and drive adoption.
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies in AI, data, and runtime security — including AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous execution patterns.

Why This Role Matters

  • This is a 0→1 opportunity to shape how enterprises secure data and AI systems in production — from traditional workloads to autonomous, agent-driven applications.
  • You’ll help define the future of Data and AI Security, bridging visibility, protection, and trust across the entire lifecycle of data, models, and AI interactions.
  • You’ll work at the intersection of security engineering, AI behavior, and enterprise trust, enabling organizations to adopt AI securely and responsibly.

Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of product management experience building and shipping enterprise or cloud-security products.
  • 3+ years in Data, Cloud, or AI Security, with hands-on understanding of data protection challenges in AI-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agentic AI systems (e.g., LLM-based agents, orchestration frameworks, autonomous workflows).
  • Strong understanding of AI security risks (e.g., prompt injection, privilege escalation, model manipulation, compliance gaps).
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical and regulatory needs into clear product outcomes.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, data systems, or AI-enabled applications.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to align executives, customers, and engineering on shared priorities.
  • A hands-on, outcome-driven mindset that thrives in fast-moving 0→1 environments.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in AI or ML-based product development.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, or EU AI Act.
  • Background in data governance, Application security or runtime observability.
  • Passion for building trust at the intersection of AI innovation and security.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
