Senior/Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics
Remix launched with a vision to transform patient’s lives through modulation of RNA processing. Our breakthrough science provides a path to identify small molecules that impact the expression of disease driving mRNAs and proteins. We take on the challenge of addressing drug targets in diseases of high unmet medical need to bring new therapeutic options to patients. Remix has a commitment to demonstrate the highest levels of scientific integrity with urgency because those patients are counting on us to deliver. With an in-house technology platform built from scratch, we have rapidly generated multiple drug discovery programs that are advancing towards the clinic.
Position Summary:
Remix Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotech company focused on discovering modulators of RNA processing for undruggable disease drivers. We seek a creative and motivated Senior/Principal Scientist with a background in bioinformatics/computational biology to work in a collaborative team aimed at the discovery and development of novel RNA-processing modulators that target disease-causing genes across oncology and non-oncology indications.
The successful candidate will have a strong biology background and will work with a multi-disciplinary scientific team to analyze and interpret high-dimensional molecular data from a variety of next-generation sequencing platforms to understand compound mechanism of action, including identification of relevant biomarkers and therapeutic application. The scientist is expected to have expertise in mining proprietary and publicly available genomic data to draw actionable biological insights and hypotheses. He/she will develop and assess novel integrative approaches to analyze data and be expected to clearly communicate their approaches and results to scientists across multiple disciplines.
