What this job can offer you
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Supply Chain Management Specialist, joining our Supply Chain Management team.
You will be a member of a small team and become a contributor to all things inventory and supplier in terms of technical hardware at Remote. You'll have autonomy when you want it and support when you need it to build the best supply chains you can across the world, delivering, warehousing and returning hardware wherever a new Remoter begins their journey.
We'll be helping you build experience, working with you to guide the formation of this critical arm of the business and build it into something both scalable and flexible enough to become a core part of Remote's ability to scale globally.
What you bring
- Placing orders, managing shipment and building efficiencies with our global network of vendors and service providers.
- Continuing to build out a world-spanning supplier network to get hardware wherever it needs to go.
- Managing the relationships with service providers of all kinds to keep communications and supply lines running smoothly.
- Managing inventory across the globe making sure hardware is recorded and accounted for in every step of its journey.
- Working with other teams around Remote to ensure our hardware supply lines for Remoters are world-class, responsive and suitable.
- Working with vendors and engineers to automate procurement with each platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in either procurement, logistics, asset or account management. We need someone happy to work with vendors and stakeholders of all shapes and sizes to build a global network of suppliers for Remote.
- A first-principles approach to problems and the ability to build from scratch.
- An ability to deftly balance priorities, work through ambiguity and set expectations where needed.
- An obsession with excellence and building a truly delightful internal product whilst getting to that point iteratively and collaboratively with other Remoters.
- Happy working interdependently within a global team yet with autonomy and room to excel.
- Writes and speaks fluent English.
- Experience working remotely
Bonus experience
- Working in a startup that is growing quickly.
- Excel/spreadsheet reporting or data analysis; technical or automation familiarity, such as low/no-code development using tools like Zapier.
- Global tax, invoicing, or customs experience.
- Proficiency in other languages is always a plus!

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $27,600 USD to $62,100 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
