We are looking for a highly skilled SAP FI System Lead with subject matter expertise in SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting (FI) modules, including General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Accounting, and their integration with other modules such as Controlling (CO). The ideal candidate will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting solutions, ensuring they align with client business structures and financial accounting principles.
This role will involve leading workshops, managing configuration tasks, reviewing documentation, and ensuring quality assurance for the work delivered by the team. As an SAP FI System Lead, you will also manage stakeholder relationships, support project delivery using both agile and waterfall methodologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of SAP Best Practices.
What you bring
- Essential Experience:
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting modules (GL, AA, AR, AP, Bank Accounting), including deep knowledge of financial accounting principles and integration with other SAP modules (Controlling, MM, SD).
- Proven experience in designing SAP enterprise structures and aligning them with client’s business models.
- Strong experience in leading fit-to-standard workshops and translating business requirements into functional designs.
- Hands-on experience in the configuration and implementation of SAP S/4HANA FI modules across the full project lifecycle.
- Experience working within agile and waterfall project methodologies, with a strong understanding of project governance.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues (onshore and offshore).
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing cross-functional teams and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Desired Experience:
- Experience with SAP Best Practices and continuous improvement in financial accounting processes.
- SAP Certification in Financial Accounting (FI) is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a consulting environment or in delivering SAP solutions in large-scale organizations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) modules, with a focus on S/4HANA.
- At least 2 years of experience in leading SAP implementation projects or playing a key leadership role in the SAP FI domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expertise & Design:
- Provide expert-level guidance on SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting modules (GL, AA, AR, AP, Bank Accounting) and their integration with other SAP modules such as Controlling.
- Design and configure SAP FI solutions that align with client-specific business structures and financial accounting principles.
- Lead fit-to-standard workshops to assess business requirements and translate them into functional designs.
- Ensure that the enterprise structure and financial modules are designed and configured to meet the client's business needs.
- Configuration & Implementation:
- Lead the configuration of SAP S/4HANA FI modules and support system testing, data migration, and go-live activities.
- Oversee the integration of financial accounting modules with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, CO), ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Manage project delivery using agile and waterfall methodologies, adhering to project governance frameworks.
- Documentation & Quality Assurance:
- Review and create design documentation, functional specifications, and other deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Provide quality assurance of the configuration and work delivered by the team, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Ensure proper testing and validation of the SAP FI solutions before go-live.
- Stakeholder & Team Management:
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external), ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor a team of consultants and business users, ensuring a collaborative environment and adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure project risks, issues, and change requests are managed and mitigated effectively.
- Best Practices & Governance:
- Ensure the project follows SAP Best Practices and continuously optimize the use of the SAP system to improve business processes.
- Operate within established project governance frameworks, providing timely updates and progress reports to leadership.
- Support the client’s adoption of SAP Best Practices, ensuring that the solution delivers maximum value.

The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
