Payroll Enablement Specialist
About Remote
With Innovation as one of the core values, we have built Automation and AI capabilities into the requirements for every role.
We encourage every member of the Remote team to bring their talents, experiences and culture to the table to help us build the best-in-class HR platform.
What this job can offer you
As a Payroll Enablement Specialist within the Payroll Business Operations team, you are the strategic architect of our operational knowledge. You don't just record processes; you engineer the systems that allow our global team to scale. You occupy the critical space between complex regional tax legislation and frontline execution, ensuring Remoters have the most accurate, compliant, and high-fidelity resources available.
What you bring
- Dual-Threat Content Skills: You are a versatile creator who can pivot from writing a highly technical, compliant SOP in Notion to building an interactive, aesthetically pleasing module in Rise by Articulate.
- Analytical Problem Solving: You have the ability to look at operational data and identify the "root cause" of knowledge gaps, designing targeted content interventions to fix them.
- Platform Proficiency: Advanced experience with Notion (specifically database management), Zendesk, and LMS tools (like Docebo or Articulate) is essential.
- Technical Writing Mastery: A proven track record of distilling complex regional tax codes or labor laws into clear, actionable, and scannable workflows.
- Detail & Compliance Orientation: An uncompromising focus on accuracy. In the world of global payroll, you understand that a single misplaced detail can have significant compliance implications.
- Linguistic Clarity: Fluent English (written and verbal) is required to maintain our global standards for documentation.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Documentation & Content Strategy
- SOP Lifecycle Ownership: Lead the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for your assigned domain. You will draft complex tax and payroll workflows in Notion, ensuring they are verified for accuracy with Legal and Compliance stakeholders.
- Content Alignment: Own the integrity of our knowledge base. You will conduct quarterly audits of your assigned domain to ensure Zendesk (external) and Notion (internal) content are 100% aligned with evolving global labor laws.
- Information Design: Structure documentation for maximum discoverability. You will leverage Notion databases and advanced formatting to ensure resources are searchable and intuitive, rather than static "walls of text."
Blended Learning & Training Excellence
- Learning Pack Creation: Design comprehensive "Learning Packs" for new initiatives. This includes a technical written guide, a 2-minute "how-to" video snippet, and a Docebo assessment for team certification.
- Async Module Development: Build engaging, interactive training modules using Rise by Articulate, translating dense technical updates into digestible, self-paced learning journeys.
- Knowledge Application: Act as a bridge between theory and practice, ensuring the team doesn't just read the "how" but deeply understands the "why" behind payroll nuances.
Strategic Problem Solving
- Data-Driven Enablement: Proactively analyze support ticket spikes and internal friction points. You will determine if the solution requires a new SOP, a video walkthrough, or a live deep-dive training session.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Support payroll projects from inception to completion, acting as the enablement lead to ensure all documentation is robust, localized, and ready for launch.
