Position Overview

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Finance to lead core financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and operational finance activities. This person will partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial visibility, improve decision-making, and help scale the business with strong fiscal discipline.

The ideal candidate brings a mix of FP&A expertise, accounting acumen, business partnership, and leadership experience. They should be comfortable moving between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s financial planning and analysis processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decisions, resource allocation, and business growth

  • Own management reporting and deliver clear insights on performance, trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Partner with department leaders to monitor budgets, evaluate spend, and improve financial accountability

  • Oversee cash flow planning and help ensure the business maintains strong financial health

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in partnership with accounting

  • Build and refine dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages for leadership and board-level visibility

  • Evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and profitability

  • Support financing activities, audits, compliance requirements, and investor or board reporting as needed

  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and reporting tools

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business recommendations

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA

  • Experience in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment

  • Experience building finance processes and controls in a scaling organization

  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
