The position

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Senior Manager, Sales - Account Management (Existing customer expansion) joining our Global Expansion team within the Go To Market (GTM) organization. This role reports directly to the VP of Global Expansion.

Requirements

  • Deep experience managing a team of quota carrying Account Managers focused on SMB and Mid Market customers
  • Ability to create strategic roadmap and execute on those plans to set up the business for future growth potential across the region and team, respectively
  • Experience defining, measuring, reporting and presenting core sales metrics/performance to leadership and key cross functional partners
  • Proven track record of implementing strong sales rigor, including pipeline creation and management, effective deal closings, and establishing strategic client relationships
  • Experience leading, hiring and developing talent distributed across countries and languages
  • Ability to foster cross-functional alignment and coordination with key partners including Product, RevOps, Customer Success and Acquisition Sales
  • Consistently deliver against targets - ensuring company and team goals and objectives are achieved consistently and sustainably
  • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable, and predictable process for running and growing the team
  • Experience working in a fast paced and ever changing environment including startups
  • Experience with tools used for successfully performing the SMB Account Management function along with Salesforce knowledge
  • Writes and speaks fluent English - another language would be a plus
  • Experience working remotely is a plus

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding Account Management team business goals while developing and supporting your direct reports
  • Create and demonstrate sales behaviors and processes to ensure the success of your team as well as the broader business
  • Coach and empower your team members to succeed within their existing role and grow towards their desired career path
  • Ability to build strategic roadmap and execute robust initiatives to implement that plan
  • Identify and execute areas of improvement to streamline and accelerate the success of Remote’s customers
  • Partner with key cross functional partners to iterate on a successful GTM strategy
  • Lead and support Strategic and Senior Account Managers in prioritizing accounts, establishing consistent sales metrics, forecast hygiene and accuracy
  • Consistently demonstrate results by engaging with clients and team members, respectively to close deals and ensure long term strategic growth
  • Provide guidance on tools used to facilitate the sales cycle with an understanding of how they work together to achieve our needs for growth as well as improvement
  • Understand the Customer Profiles and Business Models to help prioritize SMB opportunities for consistent and repeatable results for the customers and the business
  • Provide weekly and quarterly reporting on opportunity statistics, pipeline and advancement, wins and losses, and opportunities for improvement
  • Proven track record of excellent leadership skills (we lead, not manage)

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce.  We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is Base $172,800 USD - $194,400 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
