Impact of a Global Payroll Specialist

Your work ensures that employees across multiple countries receive accurate, timely compensation. You navigate the complexities of global payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards, making sure everything runs smoothly. When challenges arise, you troubleshoot and resolve them with precision, ensuring employees and stakeholders get the answers they need.

Beyond processing payroll, you look for ways to improve efficiency, automate where possible, and enhance the payroll experience for both employees and the business. Working closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors, you align payroll operations with broader business goals.

What to expect

  • Global Payroll Operations: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple regions.
  • Payroll Laws & Compliance: Stay up to date on global payroll regulations, tax requirements, and industry best practices, ensuring payroll operations meet legal and organizational standards.
  • Payroll Issues Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies, process adjustments, and handle escalated payroll inquiries with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with HR and Finance to align payroll processes with broader business objectives, integrating payroll data with benefits, compensation, and reporting systems.
  • Payroll Systems Optimization & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement automation where possible, and maintain payroll systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage payroll vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels to ensure smooth external operations and support.
  • Reporting & Audits: Prepare payroll reports, support internal audits, and ensure data integrity across payroll records.
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance to HR, Finance, and payroll team members on best practices, policies, and system navigation

What you bring

  • Payroll Expertise: At least 4 years of payroll experience, including 2+ years handling global payroll, with a strong track record of accuracy, compliance, and process optimization.
  • Global Payroll Knowledge: Deep understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements across multiple regions.
  • Systems & Tech-Savvy: Experience using payroll and ERP systems (e.g., ADP, NetSuite), with the ability to troubleshoot, improve workflows, and leverage automation.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A solutions-driven approach, with the ability to identify issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and improve payroll processes proactively.
  • Process Optimization Focus: A passion for streamlining operations, implementing automation, and continuously improving payroll workflows.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy in payroll calculations, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: A high level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive payroll and employee data.
