Impact of an Onboarding Delivery Manager

You play a crucial role in ensuring new customers successfully transition to Platform.sh. As an Onboarding Delivery Manager, you guide clients through their first steps on our platform, setting them up for long-term success. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, adoption rates, and retention by making onboarding seamless and efficient.

Balancing project management with technical expertise, you oversee the entire onboarding process, from initial setup to go-live, ensuring applications launch smoothly and development teams are equipped with best practices. You anticipate challenges, proactively address roadblocks, and advocate for customer needs, making sure they get the most out of our tools and infrastructure.

Beyond onboarding, you collaborate with internal teams to refine processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the overall customer experience. Your ability to align business objectives with customer goals ensures that every new account maximizes its potential, driving both client success and Platform.sh’s growth.

What to expect

  • Customer onboarding management: Guide and coordinate every aspect of the onboarding process, ensuring new customers are set up for long-term success on Platform.sh.

  • Project planning: Develop and maintain detailed onboarding project plans, aligning with customer goals and timelines while collaborating closely with the Onboarding and Migration Specialist.

  • Customer communication: Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process, providing regular updates, addressing questions, and managing expectations with clarity and care.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with sales, support, product, and engineering teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and alignment with customer needs.

  • Process optimization: Continuously improve onboarding processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Risk management: Identify potential risks & challenges early, and proactively develop strategies to address them.

What you bring

  • Project management: 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects in a customer-facing environment, with familiarity in project management tools like Jira or Linear.

  • Technical acumen: Basic knowledge of cloud hosting, DevOps practices, and web application architecture, with a strong desire to deepen expertise. Familiarity with tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies is a plus.

  • Customer-centric mindset: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain meaningful customer relationships.

  • Collaborative approach: Comfortable working across teams in a remote, global environment, fostering cross-functional alignment and shared success.

  • Empathy and care: Ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives, ensuring solutions are thoughtful and inclusive.

  • Effective communication: Strong command of written and spoken English.

  • Continuous improvement: Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance processes and optimize efficiency.
