You would join at a pivotal moment: the company is actively unifying these products into a coherent learning ecosystem, and that effort is generating strong traction across the U.S. market with a direct impact on millions of learners. Our team contributes to several of the group's ambitious AI initiatives, including:

• Designing the ML infrastructure that will power AI features across the unified Renaissance product suite.
• Building a speech recognition and evaluation platform tailored to the constraints of educational exercises, capable of automatically measuring students' reading fluency.
• Applying LLM-based pipelines and product AI (STT, …) to scale the creation and adaptation of pedagogical content.

What We're Looking For

You’ll join the Data & AI team as an AI Engineer to help us design, ship, and operate the ML and AI systems that power our products. You will work end-to-end: from data and modelling to deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.

Profile

• Master's/Engineering degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, or equivalent.
• 2+ years building and shipping AI-powered products, including ML model development, deployment, and integration.
• Strong data science fundamentals: able to train, evaluate, and reason about ML models, including LLM-based systems.
• Solid MLEng and MLOps skills (CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containerization, monitoring).
• Pragmatic, ship-focused mindset: you prioritise reliable systems over research output.
• Genuine enthusiasm for product, applied AI, and emerging technologies.
• Motivated by EdTech's potential to impact students and teachers.
• Comfortable navigating in an international team and discussing technical concepts with strong English and French communication skills.
• Based in Paris or ability to come to the office at least 2 days a week.

Bonus

• Experience with speech recognition or audio ML.

We offer competitive compensation that matches your experience and skills, and we ensure it's fair and equitable for similar profiles on the team.

The salary range for this position is €55K to €70K annually.

At Lalilo, salaries are transparent and publicly shared within the company. After your first year, you'll be eligible for a performance-based variable bonus, determined by your individual role level as well as Lalilo's and Renaissance's overall results.
