Job Description

We are seeking part-time Education Consultants with strong expertise working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in K–12 settings. These consultants will deliver product-agnostic professional learning (PL) focused on AI fundamentals and building AI fluency among educators and leaders.

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in K–12 instruction, adult learning, and safe/appropriate implementation of AI tools in schools. This role includes both remote and onsite support, with some travel required.

Consultants are available to accept virtual and onsite assignments, on a regular basis, throughout the year. Consultants are expected to learn and become proficient in Renaissance products and solutions. Consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis and paid an hourly rate with reimbursements for travel and related expenses.

Note: All consultants must be available for onboarding, internal learning and maintain a flexible schedule with availability up to 20 hours a week during non-peak season and up to 40 hours a week during peak season (July-Oct).  This part‑time role requires consistent availability during scheduled training engagements, which may occur during standard school or business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Learning & Facilitation

  • Deliver engaging, product‑agnostic AI professional learning for educators, school leaders, and district teams, focused on building AI fluency across educator and student populations
  • Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and implementation meetings that support schools as they integrate AI into instructional practice.
  • Customize and deliver on-site and/or virtual professional learning experiences that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Effectively guide and pivot conversations based on customer needs during professional learning sessions.
  • Present a professional, supportive, and inclusive presence in all virtual and onsite interactions.

Implementation Support & Collaboration

  • Support customers remotely and onsite to monitor progress, identify next steps, and provide ongoing guidance.
  • Provide insight to educators on ways to strengthen instructional practices and leverage AI responsibly and effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, maintaining clear communication and alignment across all stages of implementation.
  • Analyze client feedback, engagement data, and key metrics to continuously improve facilitation and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all work, including training logs, planning notes, and follow-up actions.

Professional Growth & Organizational Contribution

  • Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current on AI advancements, instructional best practices, facilitation skills, and relevant state or national guidance.
  • Partner with internal teams to build AI fluency across the organization, providing coaching, resources, and guidance to support collective growth.

For this Contractor role, you must have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in AI use cases in K–12 education, including instructional, operational, and student‑centered applications.
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, safety, governance, and guardrails.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating professional learning for adult learners.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project‑management skills.
  • Ability to tailor content for varied educator audiences and facilitate effectively both virtually and in person.
  • Familiarity with common AI tools and the ability to teach them in a tool‑agnostic way.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office or similar tools; ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a SaaS company.
  • Experience working in or with K–12 school districts.
  • Background in instructional technology, curriculum design, coaching, or school leadership.
  • Understanding of data‑privacy requirements (e.g., COPPA, FERPA) as they relate to AI adoption.
  • Prior experience designing or delivering AI‑focused training for educators.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish preferred).
  • Experience using Renaissance solutions in the classroom

 Prerequisites for the Role

  • Foundational understanding of how AI works and its implications for teaching, learning, and school operations.
  • Ability to model safe, ethical, and responsible AI use in all settings.
  • Experience designing or delivering training that supports educator fluency in emerging technologies.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
