Lead Test Engineer

About the Role:

You’ll be the first dedicated test engineer at Rendezvous Robotics, building the test discipline that spans avionics, software, and structures. From benchtop hardware validation to full-tile integration, you’ll own the setups, automation, and data collection that prove our swarm is flight-ready.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain lab testbeds for electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems working together.
• Design and run integration tests for avionics boards, EM docking, and structural assemblies.
• Develop test procedures for power, thermal, vibration, and functional performance.
• Instrument hardware for data collection and lead analysis/bug triage with subsystem owners.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups and mission rehearsals for Demo Mission 1.
• Document results and maintain a traceable test history across prototypes and flight builds.

Requirements:

• 3–6 years in systems integration & test (I&T) or verification roles, preferably in aerospace or robotics.
• Hands-on lab skills with oscilloscopes, power supplies, thermal chambers, and mechanical rigs.
• Proficiency in Python or C/C++ for test automation and data logging.
• Experience debugging cross-domain issues (electrical/software/mechanical).
• Bonus: prior spaceflight qualification test or HIL experience.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $130K - $155K
