Position Title Associate II, Financial Operations
Reports to Associate Director, Reconciliation
Classification Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate II, Financial Operations ensures accurate processing and reconciliation of donor-advised fund (DAF) transactions and investment accounts. This role is responsible for auditing financial data, preparing reports, processing daily gifts and acknowledgments, and maintaining data integrity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confidential, and skilled in identifying and resolving discrepancies within established workflows.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Audit and review DAF transactions to maintain integrity and accurate database information.
- Prepare and update reports for timely reconciliation processing.
- Track and reconcile final account balances of closing investment accounts and DAFs, including but not limited to liquidity accounts.
- Identify discrepancies and risk and escalate to appropriate level in a timely manner.
- Adhere to an established workflow and procedure to ensure gifts are properly processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process transactions received daily in a confidential and accurate manner.
- Process daily gift acknowledgement receipts/letters in addition to information regarding donor recognition levels, recurring gifts, and reversals.
- Export transaction data from the system, evaluation, and upload gifts for approval.
- Other accounting, financial or administrative tasks may be occasionally required as assigned by the Associate Director, Reconciliation.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
- 3 or more years of experience
- Intermediate accounting skills, with accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Basic understanding of personal finance and investment industries preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness
- Critical thinking for problem-solving and implementing process improvements
- Ability to work in an organized manner, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
