About the Job:

The HR Generalist serves as a key partner to employees and managers by supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR programs and processes are executed effectively across all teams. This role combines hands-on HR administration with consultative partnership — managing employee relations cases, advising on policy and compliance, and supporting site engagement, onboarding, and performance programs. The HR Generalist operates as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership, helping to maintain a positive, compliant, and performance-driven culture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with HRBPs and managers to resolve employee relations issues, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policy and local labor laws.
  • Support the execution of performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and coaching documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems (Workday) and ensure data integrity for reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions related to attendance, conduct, or performance matters.
  • Partner with site leaders to implement engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating complex matters to the HRBP as needed.
  • Support training, onboarding, and new-hire assimilation processes to strengthen retention and alignment with company values.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports (attrition, LOA trends, headcount, ER cases) to support operational reviews and business insights.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal employment regulations, assisting with audits and corrective actions when required.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Safety, and Operations to ensure alignment on employee matters, data accuracy, and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze staffing trends, forecast needs and execute strategic labor planning.
  • Partner with staffing agencies to secure top talent, evaluate and manage vendor performance and ensure consistent labor order fulfillment.
  • Align with operations management to identify operational issues and deliver targeted, proactive HR support.

About You:

  • 4 years of progressive HR experience supporting multiple functions or locations.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday) and data reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking and business partnership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.
