Tax and Treasury Analyst

Role Overview

The Tax and Treasury Analyst supports the Group’s tax compliance, treasury operations, and cash management activities across the Singapore HQ and assigned regional entities. The role ensures timely and accurate tax reporting, effective treasury controls, and compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies, while supporting the Group’s regional operations and cross‑border activities.

Job Responsibilities

Tax Responsibilities

  • Support corporate tax compliance for Singapore HQ and designated group entities, including preparation and review of tax computations, tax returns, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors on corporate income tax, GST, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and other direct or indirect tax matters.
  • Assist in tax provisioning and reporting for management accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Monitor changes in applicable tax laws and regulations and assess potential impact on the Group.
  • Support tax planning initiatives related to intercompany transactions, funding structures, service fees, royalties, and cross‑border payments.
  • Review invoices, contracts, and payment structures for tax implications and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in handling tax audits, tax authority queries, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate tax documentation, records, and audit trails.

Treasury Responsibilities

  • Support daily cash position monitoring, bank balance management, and funding requirements across Singapore HQ and group entities.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, working capital monitoring, and liquidity planning.
  • Coordinate intercompany funding, loans, settlements, and related documentation in accordance with internal policies.
  • Support bank account administration, bank mandates, KYC updates, and treasury compliance matters.
  • Assist with foreign exchange planning and execution for cross‑border transactions.
  • Review payment terms, settlement cycles, and treasury processes to improve efficiency and controls.
  • Monitor bank charges, interest income/expense, and treasury‑related costs.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of internal controls over cash movements and treasury operations.

Finance & Business Support

  • Partner with accounting, legal, operations, and commercial teams on tax and treasury‑related matters.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities requiring tax or treasury inputs.
  • Prepare management reports, reconciliations, and analysis as required.
  • Participate in continuous process improvements, system enhancements, and policy development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
    • Relevant professional experience in tax, treasury, corporate finance, or group finance functions.
    • Working knowledge of Singapore corporate tax and GST; exposure to cross‑border tax and treasury matters is advantageous.
    • Experience supporting cash management, banking operations, intercompany funding, and foreign exchange activities.
    • Familiarity with transfer pricing and withholding tax concepts is an advantage.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Proficient in Excel and finance systems or ERP tools.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
    • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a structured manner.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
    • Detail‑oriented, commercially aware, and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment.

    Preferred Attributes (Non‑mandatory)

    • Experience in a multinational or regional headquarters environment.
    • Exposure to both tax compliance and treasury operations within a group structure.
    • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA, or equivalent are an advantage.
