Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee strategic HR planning and daily operations management for the Malaysia region, serving as a strategic partner to business units to drive the implementation of HR initiatives.

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, lead hiring for key positions, conduct background checks, and ensure smooth onboarding to achieve timely staffing.

  • Optimize employee lifecycle processes, including orientation, probation assessment, internal transfers, and offboarding, ensuring full compliance with Malaysia labor laws and regulations.

  • Develop and implement the employee training and development framework, assist departments in designing training plans and specialized capability enhancement programs, and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.

  • Drive employee care programs, handle day-to-day employee relations, foster a positive and healthy workplace environment, and prevent and resolve labor-related risks.

  • Stay updated on changes in Malaysia employment legislation, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

  • Maintain local HR systems and data, and utilize analytics to support management decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a team management role. Prior experience in full-spectrum HR management in Malaysia is highly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of Malaysia employment laws and regulations, with strong ability to identify and address labor risks.

  • Proficient in recruitment interview methodologies and talent assessment tools, with hands-on experience in mid-to-senior level hiring.

  • Excellent communication, cross-department collaboration, and team leadership skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

  • Proactive learner, open to exploring HR technology innovations and driving digital transformation in HR practices.
