The Role

We’re looking for a Staff Engineer (Mobile) who can elevate our Capacitor-based mobile app’s performance, polish, and native-like feel from Day 1.

In this role, you’ll own the technical direction of our mobile platform, bringing deep expertise in hybrid apps and native integrations. You’ll focus on delivering buttery-smooth UI/UX, optimizing performance, and leveraging native platform capabilities to create experiences that don’t just work — they wow.

While mobile will be your primary focus, you’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and our CTO to deliver end-to-end features that delight users and drive business results.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical improvements to our Capacitor app to achieve a better than native experience on iOS and Android.

  • Identify and implement performance optimizations, UI polish, and platform-specific enhancements.

  • Apply proven best practices from past mobile projects to level up our app instantly.

  • Own mobile architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and rapid iteration.

  • Partner with product, design, and backend teams to ship features end-to-end.

  • Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and QA processes for mobile releases.

  • Stay ahead of emerging mobile technologies to help shape the future of our product.

What We’re Looking For

  • Senior/Staff-level experience building and scaling production mobile apps with large user bases.

  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with strong experience in Capacitor (or Cordova/Ionic with native integrations).

  • Deep understanding of native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java) development, especially bridging native modules.

  • Proven track record of shipping apps with native-like performance (animations, gestures, offline handling, smooth navigation, startup time).

  • Experience optimizing network calls, asset loading, and rendering performance.

  • Comfortable with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).

  • Familiarity with app store submissions, signing, and deployment pipelines.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; you can speak design, product, and engineering fluently.

  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Detox, XCTest, Espresso, or similar).

  • Continuous improvement mindset — always raising the bar on both code and personal growth.

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating with C#/.NET backends.

  • Exposure to event-driven architectures.

  • Contributions to open-source mobile libraries or tooling.

  • Familiarity with CI pipelines and automation best practices.

Why Join Us

  • Direct mentorship from the CTO and ability to shape the future of our mobile platform.

  • Build products that directly impact thousands of businesses and millions of patients.

  • Fast-moving, no-bureaucracy environment where your work ships quickly and gets noticed.

  • Collaborative, low-ego, high-impact culture that values winning together.
