Director of Supply Planning
About the Role:
Our goal is to improve and enhance the Resident Supply Chain network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner. The Director Of Supply Planning acts as the functional and financial owner and lead responsible for procurement, production, and inventory management. This role will lead the team responsible for developing and executing the inventory strategy, product lifecycle management plan, supply network optimization, and purchase order management. The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own the functional and financial bridge between partner factories and suppliers and Resident fulfillment centers as the central point to plan and execute inbound supply
- Manage the teams responsible for procurement and inventory availability
- Close alignment with Demand Planning team to ensure data accuracy and visibility of demand signals to ensure accurate supply plans
- Own a critical part of the supply chain, ensuring clarity between operations, sales, finance on status of products, expected shipment and arrival dates, and insights to anything driving changes to plan
- Coordinate with partners in sourcing and operations to ensure the timely shipment and complete visibility of inbound product with the goal of maximizing in stock rates across the network, while minimizing cost
- Work with partners to increase flexibility, shorten lead times and manage raw materials
- Develop scalable supply solutions; including being involved in the process for identifying and implementing demand/supply planning software
- Work with the operations, technology, and data teams to ensure we have the tools and processes to drive transparent awareness throughout the organization around supply
- Evaluate and implement data and analytical tools (including AI) to enhance our planning stack
- Own and drive the KPIs of the team to hold production partners accountable for timely shipments to ensure high in stock rates
- Utilize exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Planning or as an Operations / Planning Manager
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and clear analytical ability with proof points of how to use data to drive performance improvements
- 1+ Years of work or academic experience with databases (Google Big Query is a plus)
- Exceptional spreadsheet skills
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to own and follow through on issues
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Ability and willingness to work key holidays
Preferred Skills:
- Supply Chain Management, Engineering or STEM Degree
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, start-up e-commerce environment with the ability to quickly get up to speed, iterate and take on other projects
- Experience with order management, manufacturing, and distribution processes
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently & within a decentralized team
- Strong attention to detail & organization skills
