Job Overview:

Resident Home, a leader in the e-commerce home furnishings space, is looking for a Manager, SEO to help shape the next evolution of our organic growth strategy. This is a newly created, high-impact role within our Product organization — ideal for someone who blends deep technical SEO expertise with a forward-looking understanding of AI-driven content workflows.

You’ll build and execute a company-wide SEO roadmap that integrates technical excellence, intelligent automation, and content innovation across our digital properties. This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure Resident’s web presence is optimized for both search performance and customer experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive SEO strategy across technical, content, and off-page initiatives for Resident’s portfolio of brands.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure SEO best practices are embedded into site architecture, design, and releases from the ground up.
  • Diagnose and resolve crawl, indexation, and structured data issues across large-scale e-commerce sites.
  • Design, build, and automate SEO workflows using tools such as Python, APIs, or automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, or internal scripts).
  • Partner with brand and content teams to define, plan, and optimize content strategy — including modeling, performance tracking, and on-page optimization.
  • Leverage analytics platforms (GA4, Search Console, BigQuery, etc.) to generate actionable insights and guide ongoing optimization.
  • Stay at the forefront of generative AI and large language model (LLM) applications in SEO and content automation — including prompt engineering, content generation frameworks, and applied use cases.
  • Champion SEO awareness across the organization, educating non-technical stakeholders and driving adoption of best practices.
  • Manage relationships with external tools, vendors, and platforms to support scalable SEO performance.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive SEO experience with demonstrated success driving measurable results in complex digital or e-commerce environments.
  • Strong grounding in LLM technology and practical experience with AI-driven content workflows, prompt engineering, and automation.
  • Proven technical SEO expertise — comfortable diagnosing and resolving crawl, indexation, and structured data issues.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, and marketing to deliver data-informed, user-first experiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with deep familiarity with SEO and web analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, BigQuery, Botify, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying automation flows (Python, APIs, or no-code workflow tools).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical and AI-related concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ideally, experience working with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity) and familiarity with performance-oriented e-commerce ecosystems.
  • A self-starter mindset — proactive, highly organized, and comfortable owning end-to-end initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
