About Us

Resident’s Creative Studio is a data-driven, in-house agency producing everything from high-performing ad creative to elevated branded content — spanning video, lifestyle photography, studio production, and digital creative. The Studio operates from our Bay Area studio and remote locations across the U.S.

This role will split responsibilities between Resident and our parent company, Ashley Furniture Industries, supporting creative needs across both organizations and collaborating with distributed teams and cross-functional partners.

About the Role:

As a Producer within the Creative Studio, you will play a key role in planning, producing, and delivering a wide range of creative projects across both Resident and Ashley. This is a hands-on, highly versatile role requiring strong production expertise across photo, video, and content creation. This position requires a highly versatile skill set, as you will often operate across multiple functions throughout the production lifecycle. While a significant portion of your responsibilities will center on leading and managing creative executions, you will also be expected to step into supporting roles on set and during pre- and post-production as needed.

The ideal candidate will bring experience across producing, styling, directing, art direction, post-production, and studio operations. You will work closely with a small, agile internal production team to deliver a wide range of creative initiatives—from performance-driven video shoots to large-scale, brand-level photo and video product launches.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Produce small- and large-scale photo and video productions throughout the year for both Resident and Ashley.
  • Booking all crew, third party vendors, talent and other resources for productions.
  • Managing the budget for most studio productions ensures all vendors get paid and the production is on budget based on the scope of work.
  • Collaborating with the Associate Creative Director as well as Senior Video producer to build decks, ideate on concepts and shot-list and develop a project from start to finish.
  • Weekly meetings with Ashley & Resident creative teams to discuss new projects and manage current project timelines.
  • Acting as an on set stylist, art director, prop director, or overseeing wardrobe on set during smaller productions.
  • Coordinating all day of production logistics for in studio and on location production.
  • Collaborating with the studio team to ensure budgets & timelines are on track.
  • Traveling to on-site locations primarily within the Bay Area, to support production.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a producing role, preferably within the home goods and furniture industry.
  • Strong proficiency in production elements including working with agencies, rental houses and independent contractors.
  • Background in set styling and art direction.
  • Well organized when it comes to production logistics and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of the google business suit.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while managing multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communicator who can work closely with directors, video producers, and creative teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations across the U.S.

What We Offer (subject to eligibility requirements):

  • Remote-first workplace (since 2016!)
  • Competitive salary
  • Annual bonus potential
  • Health, Vision & Dental Insurance
  • HSA company contributions
  • 401K with company match component
  • “Take what you need” PTO
  • Wellness benefits
