Senior Manager, Product Marketing

As a Senior Manager, Product Marketing, you will be an expert in our products, owning the messaging and positioning that clearly articulates the value and benefits of Resonate’s product suite to several different groups of people – from end users at our clients to internal users like sales and customer support. You’ll need to know how the products work, who they’re for and what problem they solve for our clients, and will expertly transfer that knowledge to sales, marketing and customer support. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. 

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert in the market & competition: Act as the subject matter expert in our customers and our competition, including target personas, use cases, pain points, and journey. Transform this information to compelling messaging and positioning for our products.
  • Position us to win: Craft product positioning and messaging that serves as the foundation for internal and external launch assets, marketing programs, sales collateral, and more. Clearly identify the value Resonate is delivering for our clients, along with the specific use cases we solve for and results we deliver
  • Develop compelling collateral: Identify and develop tools that enable sales and customer success to move new and existing business opportunities forward. Examples include; messaging briefs, sales enablement materials such as slides, one pagers, & marketing videos, and existing client communications such as in-platform announcements and external knowledge base articles. Train the sales and support teams on tools, messaging, positioning, differentiation, and value of the solutions.
  • Be a cross-functional leader: Collaborate across the go-to-market teams to ensure all Product Marketing tasks for product and feature launches are delivered effectively and timely.
  • Measure and optimize: Partner closely with the Marketing team to understand what messaging is working in campaigns and what needs to be optimized
  • Be a dynamic leader: Thrive in a player-coach role, combining hands-on contributions with management of one direct report

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of Product Marketing experience, preferably with a B2B software or data company within consumer data space
  • 1+ year of managerial experience
  • Demonstrated experience with strong portfolio of product marketing materials
  • Experience with video creation/editing software such as Camtasia is a plus
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud - specifically Photoshop and InDesign and MS Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Voracious learner who loves new challenges and opportunities to grow and learn
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to deliver results independently and in a team

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in business, marketing, communications, English, or related.
