This position is fully remote with the option of working in one of our office locations in Reston, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

Resonate is seeking a highly experienced and creative UX Manager to lead the UX vision and strategy for our Ignite platform and DaaS offerings. This role will be instrumental in shaping the user experience for our clients, ensuring that our products are intuitive, engaging, and deliver exceptional value. You will be responsible for leading a team of Product Designers, collaborating closely with product management and engineering, and championing a user-centered design approach throughout the organization.

Please note that this role does not involve marketing responsibilities or website ownership.

Primary Duties and Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall UX strategy for the Ignite platform and DaaS offerings, aligning with business goals and user needs.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage a small team of UX/UI Product Designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance design culture.
  • Advocate for user-centered design across the organization, ensuring design thinking is embedded in decision-making. You will have the ability to push back on ineffective ideas and be comfortable taking risks.
  • Develop high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and interactive designs that enhance usability and drive engagement.
  • Craft intuitive interfaces using tools like Figma that cater specifically to the workflows and use cases of customers of the Resonate Ignite Platform.
  • Quickly conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously optimize experiences.
  • Lead discovery efforts by collaborating with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to define user needs and translate them into design solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between product and engineering to balance an optimal user experience with technical feasibility (weighing effort vs. perfection).
  • Develop and maintain a design system and component library to ensure consistency across all products.
  • Stay up to date on the latest UX trends and technologies, proactively identifying opportunities to innovate and improve the user experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in user experience design, with a proven track record of leading UX teams and delivering successful products. Experience in B2B SaaS, Data Enrichment products, and/or AI/ML interfaces is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of people management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and leading UX/UI designers.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integration workflows.
  • Expertise in designing intuitive data visualizations and interactive dashboards using tools like Figma.
  • Strong proficiency leveraging engagement tools such as Pendo, FullStory, etc., to help inform decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX skills, including user research, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Experience working with agile development teams and design systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, ambiguous problems, and rapid iterations.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once with a proven track record of hitting deadlines with quality work.
