Political campaigns and advocacy groups are in the fight of their lives. Voters are harder to reach. Audiences are fragmented. The old playbook of panels and outdated data no longer works. At Resonate, our AI-powered predictive intelligence gives organizations a competitive edge showing not just who people are, but why they act, and what they will do next.

As a Politics & Advocacy seller at Resonate, you will own a territory of political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and their agencies. Your job is to help them win by putting Resonate’s real-time insights and predictive models at the center of their voter and supporter engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and open doors with campaign managers, advocacy leaders, political agencies, and media consultants in your territory
  • Research prospects, analyze market shifts, and identify new business opportunities in politics and advocacy
  • Lead high-stakes conversations that connect Resonate’s AI-powered insights to campaign outcomes like persuasion, mobilization, and policy impact
  • Conduct discovery to understand each client’s unique challenges, from voter engagement to grassroots activation
  • Build tailored strategies that show how Resonate predicts voter behavior and accelerates supporter conversion
  • Deliver compelling, high-impact presentations and demonstrations that move clients from interest to commitment
  • Own the full sales cycle from first meeting through negotiation and close, driving urgency at every stage
  • Develop and manage a disciplined pipeline with a high volume of accounts, while prioritizing the most strategic opportunities
  • Execute against aggressive revenue goals by expanding Resonate’s footprint across political campaigns, PACs, advocacy groups, and their agencies
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key influencers, decision-makers, and consultants in the political ecosystem
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape proposals and ensure seamless onboarding for new clients
  • Travel to client meetings, political hubs, and industry events to represent Resonate and advance new opportunities

Qualifications & Experience Requirements 

  • A proven hunter with 5+ years of experience selling data, SaaS, media, or advocacy technology into politics, campaigns, or adjacent industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong existing relationships within Republican campaigns, PACs, party committees, and advocacy organizations.
  • Consultative and provocative in your sales style able to challenge assumptions, create urgency, and move decision-makers to act
  • Competitive, disciplined, and self-motivated, with a record of consistently exceeding expectations and revenue goals
  • A communicator who builds instant credibility with campaign executives, advocacy leaders, and political strategists
  • Experienced with digital campaigning, government affairs, or public affairs; background in digital advertising, publishing, or agency work is a strong plus
  • Skilled at managing complex sales cycles using Salesforce or a similar CRM, with rigor around pipeline and forecasting
  • Adaptable in fast-paced, high-growth environments, thriving under pressure while staying laser-focused on outcomes
  • Customer-focused, curious, and relentless about solving client challenges with precision and creativity
  • Collaborative by nature, committed to both personal success and team success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working directly with Republican political candidates, advocacy groups, or issue-based campaigns.
  • Familiarity with digital media strategy in political or advocacy settings.
  • Advanced coursework or certifications in political science, communications, marketing, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a start-up or growth-stage company environment.
