Executive Director, Brand Sales

United States

Every brand wants to know what its customers will do next. Most can only see who those customers are and what they bought last month. Resonate tells them why people buy, and what they are likely to do next.

For 18 years we have used data science and AI to predict the values, motivations, and intent behind decisions across more than 250M U.S. adults. We created the category of predictive consumer intelligence, and we lead it. Now we are looking for a seller who loves opening doors with marketing leaders at the biggest brands in America, and wants a product that gives them something genuinely new to show.

What you'll be doing

  • Building net new revenue across your own list of large national brands, opening most of those doors yourself
  • Getting in front of CMOs and senior marketing and insights leaders, and keeping your calendar full of the right ones
  • Doing your homework before a first meeting, asking good questions, and getting the client to name the one problem that matters most this year
  • Building the plan with Solutions Engineering and taking the deal all the way to a signed contract. These are long, complex deals where several teams have to say yes.
  • Setting new clients up to grow with our account management team
  • Calling your forecast straight, so we can help early when a deal needs it

You'll need

  • 5+ years selling data, analytics, SaaS, MarTech, ad tech, media, or measurement directly to brand marketers
  • A track record of opening new logos yourself and closing $250K+ deals where several teams had to say yes
  • Relationships with marketing leaders at large national brands
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Who does well here

You are curious about how a client's business works, and you would rather understand the problem before you share your screen. You describe your wins by what changed for the client, not just the number you hit. You want to tell our story in your own words, not recite it. And you like opening doors yourself and spending your time with marketers.

If you would rather have a partner or channel hand you meetings, sell to IT teams, or close short deals with a single decision maker, this probably isn't the right fit.

Why Resonate

  • Something new to show a CMO. A brand can ask a question it has never asked before, get an answer grounded in real people in about 5 days, and then run media against those exact people.
  • Results you can point to. A challenger beverage brand grew sales more than 400% in under a year with Resonate.
  • Full ownership of your deals as a senior individual contributor, reporting to our CRO
  • Solutions Engineering and Account Management partners, so you never pitch or hand off alone
  • Remote-first, with periodic visits to our Reston, VA headquarters and travel of up to 30% to meet clients

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $175,000, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $300,000 to $350,000, combining base salary and commission at 100% of target. Where an offer lands within the range depends on your experience, skills, qualifications, and location. OTE reflects expected earnings at target and is not guaranteed.

Resonate also offers a benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, including HSA
  • Company-paid disability and life insurance with a life insurance buy-up option
  • A 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible PTO plus 10 paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Access to wellbeing and employee assistance programs, including free and unlimited access to 20+ health professionals and wellbeing coaches for you and your family members
