Equipment Support Specialist (Part Time)

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Equipment Support Specialist is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, testing, and preparing respiratory equipment for patient use. This role supports the day-to-day flow of equipment throughout the branch by ensuring returned assets are processed efficiently, maintained in a patient-ready condition, and accurately tracked within company systems. The Asset Support Specialist works closely with Respiratory Therapists, HME Technicians, and Operations teams to help maintain inventory accuracy and equipment readiness.
This is a part-time position, 4 hours per day M-F.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize returned respiratory equipment according to company policies and infection control procedures.
- Perform basic equipment inspections and function testing to ensure equipment is ready for patient use.
- Prepare, organize, and stage equipment for delivery and patient setups.
- Update equipment status, locations, and other required information within company systems.
- Identify and report equipment requiring repair, maintenance, or further evaluation.
- Assist with equipment tracking and inventory management activities.
- Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and equipment audits.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to promote efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Assist with equipment recalls and other operational projects as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, healthcare, manufacturing, or equipment processing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company software systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
