Team Overview

RFA is building a new Impact & Learning Team to lead on data infrastructure management, data analysis, facilitating focused conversations about data and performance and following through on rigorously measuring impact. RFA desires to effectively ‘roll up’ data it already collects via local, state, and federal government data and evidence standards of excellence and create new metrics where needed to ‘draw the dots’ to key population-level outcomes both within and across RFA programs.

 

Position Overview

The Associate Director, Advanced Salesforce Integration and Data Analytics will report to the VP, Technology and Impact Systems (TIS), and work closely with the RFA practice leads, program leads, and operational staff to lead and support RFA’s Salesforce implementation and expansion that supports RFA’s measurement of its program-level and organization-level impact. This position will lead the strategic implementation and optimization of our Salesforce platform while overseeing data analytics initiatives across the organization, including but not limited to Salesforce management, Salesforce and airTable integration, higher logic integration, CRM analytics and tableau,  and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure that Salesforce and data analytics effectively support RFA’s objectives.

The ideal candidate for this position is a critical, independent thinker with a proven expertise of managing a Salesforce platform and a deep understanding of quantitative data analysis approaches and methodologies. At the same time, it is equally important that the candidate brings a highly adept level of communication skills to this role to be able to train nontechnical staff to use data systems and translate findings across programs and functions, and across different audiences and levels of familiarity with data and technology. 

Travel up to 10% annually may be required.

This is a full time, exempt position, based in a home office anywhere within the U.S.

 

Position Reporting Relationship

The Associate Director, Advanced Salesforce Integration and Data Analytics will report to RFA’s VP of Technology and Impact Systems (TIS) and work closely with RFA’s senior leaders. 

 

Position Responsibilities

Duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Salesforce Solution Design, Development and Management  [40%] 

  • Strategic Leadership: Leads the implementation of development and customization of Salesforce to implement the solution design that aligns with RFA’s priorities and strategic goals;
  • Platform Management: In charge of the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Salesforce, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Data Quality and Integrity: Implements data quality standards and monitors data integrity to build trust in the data used for decision-making, including carrying out implementation of policies set forth by the governance committee; 
  • Data Analytics: Develops and executes RFA’s data analytics strategy that enhances decision-making and drives performance. Oversees the development of dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that provide actionable insights to business leaders and stakeholders. Partner with various departments to identify data needs and leverage analytics to support business objectives.

Technology Systems Portfolio Management [40%]

  • Integration strategy: Executes and manages a comprehensive strategy for integrating Salesforce with other enterprise platforms such as Slack, Airtable, Higher Logic, Qualtrics, Asana, and Leadership Connect, to enable seamless data flow and operational efficiency
  • Data synchronization: Leads the implementation and maintenance of data synchronization processes between Salesforce and other systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and real-time availability.
  • API management: Manages and optimizes APIs for cross-platform communication, troubleshooting integration issues, and working with development vendors to enhance system interoperability.

Training and change management (20%) 

  • Change management: Develops and implements change management strategies to support the adoption of new Salesforce functionalities and data analytics tools across the organization.
  • Training: Leads advanced training sessions, workshops, and communication initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and minimize resistance to change.

Experience, Competencies, and Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, as well as an alignment with Results for America’s mission and organizational values:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience and Bachelors degree;
  • Experience supervising at least one FTE;
  • Track record of successful project completion;
  • Ability to effectively assign tasks, responsibility, and authority to others;
  • Track record of making critical decisions successfully;
  • Experience setting and driving toward accomplishment of multiple team goals;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross team/cross department initiatives;
  • Experience successfully managing relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Required
    • Proven expertise in system integrations;
    • Advanced Salesforce Administrator Certification;
    • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including NPSP and Experience Cloud;
    • 2+ years of Tableau Analytics administration, including dashboard and dataflow creation;
  • Additional Salesforce certifications preferred;
  • Experience managing complex custom data models;
  • Proficiency with tools like Data Loader, Workbench, or DemandTools; and
  • Demonstrated success in project management.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to distill technical findings for non-technical audiences;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, quickly building trust and credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; and
  • A deep commitment to RFA’s mission and a strong outcomes-focused mindset.

Salary and Benefits

Results for America offers a compensation package that includes:   

  • A competitive base salary commensurate with relevant work experience; and
  • A benefits package that includes choice in medical plans; dental/vision coverage; paid time off; a 403b retirement plan with employer contribution.  

The salary range for this position is $111,034 - $142,758.

New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
